If you could draft English Legends over the course of the N.Y.S.E. Weekend, would you be interested?  Right now, it's all theoretical, but, in theory, it would look something like this:

1.  One eight man pod.
2.  $550 entry (this is rough, it may be a little less, it may be a little more.  The range is really $500-$600).
3.  First place prize is eight packs of English Legends.  Second place prize is four packs of English Legends.

Given the dollar value of the entry, I wouldn't expect many people to be interested, but if we had eight guys, I'd do it.

It would either be run on Friday night, or sometime early on Sunday.

I'm interested for the novelty but can't guarantee I'll have the funds.

I voted no simply because I don't have that kind of money to throw around.

Cracking packs of Legends is very fun and exciting, but the actual drafting and playing of Legends is quite miserable. Gotta love that Glyph cycle.

If you've never experienced Legends outside of casting Mana Drain, it'll be a fun experience that you won't soon forget.

Legends is a terrible draft set.  I've done it before.   There are too many completely useless cards and terrible commons.  I'd love to draft The Dark, though.

It's actually not bad if you dont do all legends...even doing like a fourth ed, dark and fallen empire
, and 1 legends is fun, and cheaper

If this was going on in Denver as a freestanding event, I'd be down.

But when you add the cost of a plane ticket and other events going on at the same time, the price tag starts to climb into "you should just buy some power" range.

Doesn't red have like two creatures at common that can actually attack for damage?

Anyway, this is what would make Legends draft so fun.  It's so bad it's good.

Personally, if I were up there I think the price point for a seat at the table is too high for me for just a draft. I could literally go get a piece of power for that. Not even mentioning the horrible draft experience. As an alternative, I think you could do something like a 1994/Old School Magic Cube draft with a hefty buy in and legends packs as a prize or something. I think that would do well and hit the nostalgia and fun buttons with a good buy in and good support.

disclaimer: I won't be able to make it to NYSE Sad

I was curious about this. Turns out you're wrong, there is only 1, Raging Bull. Blue has 2, all the rest have 5 to 12 each.

Also turns out there are no gold commons.
