For those of you who cube, what would be functional features of the ultimate box to keep them in? How many cards does your cube include? Do you double sleeve? How many dividers?

My cube is double sleeved (perfect fits, pink dragon shields). 420 cards (http://cubetutor.com/viewcube/4063), 100ish tokens, emblems, and double sided cards (perfect fits on anything > $3), and 150 basic land (perfect fits, pink dragon shields).

Two boxes: a 250 count box for land and a 1000 count box for everything else with the tokens kept inside one of the boxes that the perfect fits came in.

Ideally, this would all fit in a single box with a separator for cards used recently and cards not used recently. My wife and I Winchester Draft the cube and play matches over the course of the week. The whole thing would be rigid and waterproof. It's disturbing how valuable the thing has become with the rising cost of (foily) legacy staples, fetches, duals, etc. And on the note...maybe add a padlock to the whole thing.

Any interest in putting together/maintaining a Github Git project that hosts proven decks of all major archetypes and documents their changes over time?

I've been making draft sim cubes.  I fit blocks double sleeved in one of the gift boxes (rtr or theros) with extra room for some of the blocks tokens, just using dividers to split rarities for each set...then I have a 1k count longbox that has all the supplementals for the drafts I can run (basic lands/double sided cards/conspiracy draft matters/tsb/dgm land).

I used to have a cube: http://www.mtgsalvation.com/forums/the-game/the-cube-forum/cube-lists/192312-412-unpowered-cube-by-yugular

Those were the days... Nowadays I have no choice but to play mtgo as my city doesn't really have active mtg players. Luckily Legacy is doing ok in mtgo, and now Vintage has arrived Smile

My cube was about 400 cards and I like the holiday gift box for cube of that size. You can even fit in dices, tokens and such.

If you are asking what the ultimate cube box would be to market to people, I think it would be something modular so people could essentially construct their own cube box.  Imagine sleek wooded boxes that can hold around 360-400 cards double sleeved (so roughly a row of one of the gift boxes), but such boxes are interlocking, you can put 2 together end-to-end to make a long box, lock them on top of each other, or side-by-side.  Putting together 1x3x2 makes an actual cube with drawers you could pull out.
