The Grudge Match is upon us once again! It is up to YOU, the players of the New York region, to decide who you want representing you against the far less talented teams of New England and Pennsylvania/Southern NJ! Pick the FIVE most talented Vintage players who live in the New York/Northern NJ region. The three players with the highest vote totals will make up TEAM NEW YORK/NORTHERN NJ, and represent the region! If anyone can't attend, the player with the 4th most votes will be put on the team, and so on.

Here are the qualifications:
1) The player/s must live in the New York/Northern NJ region.
2) The player/s must be good at Vintage. Yes, I know everyone wants to vote for your BFFs and teammates. Use tournament results since the last Grudge Match as a barometer. Have the player/s you want to vote for Top 8'ed recently, or perhaps even won? If yes, then they would make a good candidate.
3) The player/s must be awesome (this SHOULD be a gimme, since everyone from New York/Northern NJ is awesome). Anyone can change their votes by editing their post up until Friday, August 22nd, when this thread will be locked. LET THE VOTING BEGIN!

RIP Mogg Fanatic...at least you are still better than Fire Bowman!!!

I was once asked on MWS, what the highest I ever finished at a TMD Open was.  I replied, "I've never played in a Waterbury.  I was then called "A TOTAL NOOB!"

Stickied.

Also, unfortunately, New York will have to battle without either of the Forinos, as they'll be in Italy for the event.

Main

Mike Ruggiero
Greg Fenton
Tom Dixon

Alternates

Dave Kaplan

EDIT: With Roland's absence, I've adjusted my votes.

There are many, many guys who have excellent cases to be voted for.  Please, don't take this personally, as I certainly don't mean it that way.

Abstaining from voting for myself though I do want to be on the team. Any of the 5 above will carry the mantle with pride.

Greg Fenton
Michael Mahr
John Grudzina
Tom Dixon
Mike Ruggerio

It makes me feel dirty to vote for myself. Also for so many dirty Oath if druids players, but that one I can get over.

Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I am no longer able to make this event.

Okay...by my count we have Team NY/North NJ:

Greg Fenton

and a three way tie between Tom Dixon, Micheal Mahr, and Mike Ruggiero for the other two slots.

If any of these three not able to attend, that would make it easy, but otherwise let's hear your feedback to break this tie...GO!

I'll be there 100%. I'm fine with any two of the three of us. All strong players Smile

Mike Ruggiero will sadly not be in attendance for this event. Sad

Looks like it'll be Tom, Mickey, and myself duking it out for the team event. Let's make it happen, New York! Smile

We have some late votes!  Surprised
Not in any order, and not wanting to vote for myself.

Tom Dixon
JP Kohler
Greg Fenton
Vasu Balakrishnan

I will honorary vote for these players as they cant attend the event,
Nick Detwiler
Vincent Forino
Rafaelle Forino
