Wow, lot of interesting things with the new Delve cards, Coercive Portal in MUD, Tabernacle in Pyromancer Delver, Triskelavus in Slaver and Extract maindeck. This last one really leaves me puzzling, I can see some applications against Tinker and Vampiric/Mystical Tutor but I feel like I'm missing something to justify its presence maindeck.

that pretty well captures my thoughts.  Also, it doesn't prevent the Dredge deck from generating a lethal attack in a single turn with FKZ if they plan well.  The upside is that it could simply save some space.  I don't like Ravenous trap against Dredge - it's pretty bad against good Dredge pilots.  Still, Ingot Chewer can take out Bridges, Tabernacle their creatures, and Cage prevent too much shenanigans.

Does the Tabernacle apply to any other matchups or is it just for Dredge? This seems like a really cool SB option for even more controlling blue decks like Grixis control and such. Any thoughts on that?

Tabernacle seems poor in Delver decks.

There was only one Dredge deck.  No one else played Leyline of the Void in their sb? what gives?

We discovered during testing for BoM2014 that the real best card ever vs. Dredge is Tabernacle.  It was in a Kuldotha vs. Dredge matchup but then we started theorizing on the value of Tabernacle in any matchup vs. Dredge.

The truth is that it slowed it really down.

Plus it is un-unmaskeable and cannot be fighted with Dredge antihate.

Additionally, Dredge pilots board out the combo (Dread Returns +FKZ+ Fattie+Fatestichers if any) to free up some space after board. Some Dredge decks don't even play the combo anymore.

Tabernacle allows you to have 1 or 2 tokens on the table (at the very very max) plus Ichorids to kill you. And this having in mind the Dredge pilot has to draw 2 lands to keep the tokens on the table.

To play any superdedicated antidredge card, Tabernacle seems a good fitting although we all know its cons $_$
