Once upon a time, Phyrexian Negator was found in the sideboards of some combo decks (see: Vintage Worlds 2008  http://archive.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Events.aspx?x=mtgevent/usnat08/vintage2 )

This card seems like a strict upgrade to it.  I'd rather it die to lightning bolt than lose three permanents.

Negator hasn't been played in a while, and it certainly isn't good in a format with pyromancer and mentor running around, but that doesn't mean things can't change.

Dash is also great vs. Planeswalkers.

Colossians 2:2,3

How much more utility is 5 power over 4 in the current field? I think I would rather have an arrogant bloodlord or a Dross Harvester in the current meta than 5 power and dies to more relevant things.

I for one am not a naysayer I think this card is great. As I have said for years anything that costs three or less in black costs one due to a base called Dark Ritual and I think this card is great. The difference between three mana and four (aka Juzam) might as well be millions. Dropping this turn one with any counter backup is like Delver on crack. I would love t see suicide black make a come back and with this I think its possible. Many will disagree and thats fine. But realisticly this is magic a game with variance and a five power drop on turn one can and will swing games all day long.

I had a lot of success with this card, but it only costs 1B, is uncounterable, and exiles win conditions.  Pitless Horde seems much worse because it doesn't have any unique abilities, not even Trample.
