New Software?

First I wanted to announce: The Mountain Goat Herder is back... Bow down! (in a non-sexual way, and mostly applies if you're a mountain goat.)

Anyhow... these are the new boards? Granted, I don't know much about forum software but isn't ikonboard superior to phpbb?

Can't really say.  PhpBB is in PHP as opposed to Perl, so it will probably be a bit faster.  I know it supports gZip compression too, so it should help with bandwidth.  The admin for PhpBB is a little sloppy, but it gets the job done.  Templating was painful the last time I tried it; don't know how it is now.

Personally, I probably would have went for Invision Board, but that's just my opinion.  It has a really nice backend and it is pretty easy to customize and theme.
