Has anyone tested Living Wish in U/B/G or B/G Dragon builds?  By this I mean (in an average decent build) moving 1 Xantid Swarm, 1 Bazaar, 1, Squee, and 1 Worldgorger Dragon to the sideboard and then adding 4 Living Wish in which to retrieve anyone of them as necessary.  For example, if you have a Bazaar in hand and a Dragon in the yard you could Wish for a Squee to propel your draw engine, or if you have a couple Squees and a Dragon in hand you could Wish for a Bazaar and vice versa.

In essence it's not incredibly too far away from the idea of running 7 Bazaars, 7 Dragons, 7 Squees, and 7 Xantid Swarms.  Match this up with your already existing tutors such as Demonic and Vampiric, and you could get away with cutting the "not quite as good" tutors such as Lim Dul's Vault and/or Spoils to make room for more animate effects for further redundancy.  Making room for 10 animate effects seems not shitty. Also you would have access to conditional sideboarded bullets such as Strip Mine or Petrified Field and such.

Anyhow, thats an idea i've been toying around with lately.  I tested it yesterday a few games against Landstill and wasn't too terribly disappointed.  It definately needs more testing if anyone's up for the task.  Also logical questions, comments, criticisms, and oppinions are more than welcome, so tell me what you think.

Unless you only have one Bazaar of Baghdad then I feel it unnecesary. It slows down an amazingly fast deck, and for what? Accesibility? It sounds weak although I have not put extreme testing into, and my list was B/G.

Well, essentially its a tutor, and yes tutors are slow, but redundancy will make the deck stronger against its bad match ups as the threat density has practically doubled.  Thats 3 uncounterable Bazaars and 4 must counter Living Wish main deck.

The deck is redundant enough, i really do not think this a step in the right direction for dragon an the moment.

Living Wish is an interesting idea, but excessive tutoring slows down the combo quite a bit. Dragon is a mana light deck, so casting a tutor usually means wasting one whole turn. Notice, also, that Living Wish is less flexible than Lim Dul's Vault (I run only two Vaults, for instance, not all four), and I have even stopped running Demonic Tutor altogether in the fully powered build. So, although there are lots of strong tutors available, Dragon rarely runs a full complement of them. The deck is simply better off with more redundancy rather than tutoring power.

The final concern with the Wish is that it eats up SB space. Dragon makes full use of the SB, and trimiming down the 15 slots to 11-12 is a big blow.

There are definitely good points to Living Wish - it's easy to cast, and it increases your Bazaar count from 4 to 7. It also helps youto retrieve alternate win conditions. However, I suspect that the negatives will outweigh the positives here, but it might be worth testing just to make sure.

By the way, LD Vaults and Spoils are pretty amazing tutors - I think you underestimate their strength.

I would have to agree that Lim Dul's is by far the superior counter.  Not only does it have significant synergy with Bazaar but imho is simply a superior card for what Dragon is trying to do.

Living Wish definitely has its uses but in Dragon would become somewhat of an anchor of sorts.

It's looking like most of you are disliking the idea overall, so it's looking like they probably won't make the cut.  I'm going to play test it a bit more to see what I think.

@Diceman- I'm rather surpised that you have dropped Demonic Tutor, but decided to keep the Lim Dul's Vaults which cost UB instead of B1 and don't net you the card until next turn.

Well, thanks for the replies and comments guys.  Other comments and suggestions are also welcome, so please feel free to chime in.
