Heres the decklist atm.
//NAME: Untitled Deck
     MANA:
        4 Mishra's Workshop
        4 Seat of the Synod
        4 Great Furnace
        4 Volcanic Island
        1 Tolarian Academy
        1 Mox Emerald
        1 Mox Jet
        1 Mox Pearl
        1 Mox Sapphire
        1 Mox Ruby
        1 Black Lotus
        4 Metalworker
        4 Gilded Lotus
     SEARCH:
        2 Fabricate
        1 Ancestral Recall
        3 Thoughtcast
        3 Thirst for Knowledge
        2 Future Sight
   COMBO:
        3 Myr Retriever
        4 Mindslaver
        4 Goblin Welder
    OTHER STUFF:
        1 Time Walk
        2 Broodstar
        4 Sculpting Steel

The main combo is to have a welder and a Myr retriever out to start getting your Mindslaver back infanintly then get Broodstar to kill them. It works very well without the retriever but is not infinate so I threw him in.

Card choices
Artifact lands, Help get Broodstar out fast if they shut down your engine. And make great welder toys.

Metal worker/Gilded lotus, A lot of your mana comes from these 2 either of them make great targets for a Sculpting steel.

Fabricate, I was orginally running 4 Thirst and 4 Thought cast but droped to 3 to add these things, have not gotten much testing with them but seem like they'd be good.

Thirst for knowledge/Thoughtcast, your main drawing engines, the Thirst for knowledge is a great way to dump a Mindslaver into the yard to be welded out if you dont want to cast him. Thought cast almost always ends up as U: draw 2 cards, so it works very nicely. But watch out for drains on it

Future sight, Still a bit iffy on this one the lack of fetchlands make it not as good as it could be but with only 4 targets for fetches, but still works nicely with all the mana I can get. and my low land count. Might test a bit with the 4th Thirst and Thoughtcast instead of these.

Myr Retriever, not neccicary to make the deck work but a safe fall to keep your loop going endlessly, might drop to 2 of these guys.

Mindslaver, Take their turns = fun stuff. If nothing else in early game can really throw your oppenents off.

Broodstar, Kill condition, and alternate way to victory if you cant find main combo.

Sculpting steel, copy metalworkers or Lotus's for tons of mana.

Most everything else is self explainatory. I dont have a sideboard built yet so need any suggestions on that if you guys have them. I just whipped this up this morning so im sure there are some card choices that could be utilized better, let me know what you all think. Sometimes the deck takes of really fast other times it takes a few turns to set it up so it may just not be fast enough to work in T1.
Thanks.

Memory Jar is good in workshop decks with welders.
Might as well also throw in a tinker if you're playing blue.
Also, Sol Ring is quite a good card

If you're going for a fun deck, you could add thought prisons, since it's like an instant speed duress every turn if you have an active welder and a couple of these (or sculpting steels, etc.). Maybe instead of Myr Retriever, since that only brings an artifact from your graveyard to your hand and only when it dies.\n\n

Was hoping it would not end up being a fun deck just because of the fact that it would be dumb to play against   But sol ring will go in as well as tinker. I might play around with thought prison as well. Thanks for the suggestion

in my opinion you use too little artifacts too really abuse Worker.
and, partially because of this;

Sculpting steel, copy metalworkers or Lotus's for tons of mana.

you never gonna copy one of these. if so you're moving way to slow. when copying metalworker you either have no artifacts left in hand, or just were able to play all other artifacts immediatly. and pay three to copy a three mana source? sure afterwards the're colored, but it's too slow, and too often useless here. and Lotus restricted, you can fabricate for lotuses though if you're moving slow anyway.

you should have mana vault as well though. and if playing artifacts, why not disruption as Sphere?

and hm, wouldn't you want to add some fetchies instead of all these colored lands? this way you'll often have useless colored mana, and with fetchies or even painlands you can support wastelands/strip.

just some thoughts

Why do you need to use Mind Slaver numerous times??  Besides, after they are aware of it, they will prepare for it.

Alot of the Mirrodin cards in this deck are inferior to common staples.  Artifact lands for example get nuked by mox monkey, null rod, wasteland, disenchant,... not a good thing in type one.  Affinity can work in Standard and that's about it.

I think you need to flesh out this idea alot more.\n\n

the reason for mindslaver recursion is not so much controlling the opponent's turn as it is controlling every turn- in that you get a turn, you control their turn, you get a turn, you control their turn- and it never ending.

That "combo" requires 4 non-Workshop mana every turn, sacrificing an artifact every turn, keeping Welder active, and if that weren't enough it requires 6 mana to play in the first place.

I'm not sure that's going to keep up.

Have you read Myr Retriever well?

It says 'other artifact creature'?

You cannot return him... You will need one in the gyard and one in the board for the combo to work... One Myr returns another myr.\n\n

Why Broodstar? Just because it has affinity with Artifacts shouldn't be enough. It only becomes decent when you have 5 artifacts, and even then it's a targetable Morphling. I'm afraid it's simply too vulnerable and too slow.

I'd have to agree.  Broodstar is hardly a quality finisher when there are many more better options.

Have you considered Myr Incubator?  You can remove artifact lands and other artifacts to kill with tokens.  I'd go this way over broodstar, even if this wasn't the best kill method.

Goblin Charbelcher could also be used.  17 Lands could make it usefull.

Those are just options outside of the obvious Morphling
