I'll be swinging with something rogue, angry and disruptive.

I'll spread the word to the Mishra's Factory people.

maybe main deck the factories(can't be countered) taking out 2 mountains, 2 burning wish and cuting 2 shamans b/c no one play keeper and if they do blue will smash it so you don't have to worry about it and add 2 miners to deal with man lands

BeBe. What is Boiling Seas? I can't seem to find it in the oracle database. I do like the burning wishes though  maybe put a flame rift in the board as well and run 3 wishes main? There must be other stuff you can run in the board to wish for as well... Maybe an arc lightning for the mirror? What is the consensus on browbeat? I mean its 5 damage or 3 cards for 2R maybe one of those in the board?

Doh, looks like it's back to Sui, Sligh, and Stompy for me.  Having just a real 'twister and a Walk doesn't help much.  I really got to get the other Power.

Last I talked to Leon he said he was unsure if he was gonna give cash or that beat twister away, but if you do win Mellow D you can get Cash if there is a card prize but the value of the cash is lower than his price tag on the card.

Me and Lam were doing a lot of testing and brainstorming for a deck. I would have done intesive playtesting but for some reason Apprentice doesn't instal on my XP. I expect Lam to win again with what he's playing and the tech that's in it.

I'll try my best to come but I need a ride! If anyone's local to Mississauga and has room, please LMK! My email is phoenix_petkovics@hotmail.com

Well, once again Lam posted an excellent record...
For reference some of the decks I saw played...
Bargain
Dragon
Chapin Gro
TurboNevyn
Sligh
Land Grant Sligh
Enforcer
Fish
Monoblue

Lam opted for monoblue. This was a strange choice as last tournament saw a lot of Suicide decks. This time I did not see a single one.
Normally I would play Fish but a friend of mine came and I gave him the deck which went 4-1 last time and he ended up 1-3. Shows you need to understand the deck. He confessed that he made a few errors.
The funniest match was Bargain against Dragon. Dragon was undefeated at the time and is a faster deck by far than Bargain. However, two G-d draws in row made Bargain look the best combo deck there. The Dragon player was shocked. He never Duressed anything he had to and each game was short and brutal.
Land Grant Sligh kept losing 1-2 in matches (my deck). I never drew a Hull Breach or a Blast when I needed it. I won every first game and then proceeded to get mana screwed or worse mana-flooded in all the others. Oh well.
I played Chapin Gro first round and learned first hand how a transformational Oath sideboard beats Aggro...
I also got a turn at TurboNevyn and should have won if not for the worst draws I've ever had... oh well.

I know what I'm playing next time but will leave it secret...
Maybe Lam will post a report this time.

Nopes. Lam's legacy was shattered because a technical error got him a game loss in the 3rd game of the match, thus giving him the loss. I'm not going to say what it was because I was playing a match at the time and don't really know what happened for sure.

I had to concede in the Top8 to Richard (Shock_Wave) because the tournament went longer than expected and I had a hockey game to go to.

Meh.

SuiBlack Reavers with 3 main Edicts won.

It must have gotten good pairings.  There were 3 Sligh there and one Enforcer deck, all of which could give it problems.

No Sligh made it to top 8.  Dragon didn't make top 8 going 1-1-2 I believe.

Both mono-U made top-8.

Shock Wave's Blue-White knocked out the Bargain in the quarters by drawing its lone Aura Fracture in the opening hand of both games!

I am suspecting that some of the best decks in Type 1 at the moment are:
SuiBlack
mono-U
U-r
Stacker
Fish

Actually, no. The first game I drew the fracture mid game, giving more than ample opportunity to go off. Game 2, I had 2 Wastelands in my first hand, and drew into the fracture after beating him up with factories for a while. I think the fact that I won against such a "formidable" combo deck exposes the inherent weakness in playing combo: you're not always going to get a god draw and go off right away. If you don't, you're most probably in shit.

Look at the Dragon/Bargain match-up: Clearly, in Dragon's favour. Bargain draws 2 god hands and goes to town. Next round, Bargain runs into U/W, a sub-optimal T1 combination, and gets crushed.

IMHO, combo players have little to complain about when they get smoked by god draws, because it is those same broken draws that enable them to win on turns 1-2. Let's face it, anyone playing control has a huge advantage once they've stabalized, which is usually turn 2. If the combo hasn't gone off by then, then its most likely curtains.

If you're playing combo, you live by the sword, and you die by the sword...
