Carta Magica holds T1 tournaments on the first Sunday of every month, lately with an attendance of around 50 people. The first place price is half of all the entrance fees (usually between $200 and $250 in cash) and the rest of the entrance fees are devided up into prizes (in store credit) for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place participants (or, if there's enough people, the whole T8 will receive prize money).
The metagame is pretty diverse, with a number of very solid players. Lots of sui, a bit of sligh, lots of random (read: bad) aggro, turboland, neo-academy, dragon, mono-U forbiddian, urphiddian, pox, nether void, keeper, and some other stuff I've probably forgotten about.
