We are going to have a DCI Level 2 Judge on hand for this Tournament to handle any rules questions.

just wondering if thats going to, by chance, be Scott Kasliner? If not who? I will most likely be participating and I'm a Level 1 so I will be willing to help with the occasional ruling questions outside of my own match.

You no longer need to Pre-Reg for this event.
We must have at least 20 People for the Lotus and Time Walk to be Given Away.
If there is Less than 20 only the Lotus will be Given away.

The Judge is Brian GA

Just going to get the word out early but in November or December we will be having a Type I Tournament with ALL POWE NINE CARDS BEING GIVEN AWAY.
Top 8 players will each get one Power Nine Card, with First Place getting their choice of any 2 Power Nine.
Cost will be anywhere from $50-65 per Person

The torny in December sounds very interesting and I will show up at the store later to talk to Jason about it.   As for that deck you are bringing (RIC) don't you usually play that Griffon Canyon/Animate Land/Natural Selection deck?

Anyway I am waiting patiently for the september torny and I hope to see as many of you there as can make it, This means you Ric.

Wow, that's *crazy*!!!
Please make it over Thanksgiving weekend if possible so the college kids <ahem myself> can make it.
What high stakes...a lot of money to risk if you don't T8...dang.  Great idea.

Are there still spots open?  I know -at least- 3 Binghamton players, and probably 4 or 5 are going to show up.  That is, if there's room Razz

The tournament is still open so bring your friends and come on down. I encourage all of you to get here early as the store should be pretty packed.

Lord of Goats get here when you can as we can give you a first round loss and you can play rounds 2-4.

Lord Goats: most you miss is one round if you show up by 3:15. You can easily make top 4. I would make the trip in order to win a Lotus

So the torny is a week away, and what I'm looking for now is a head count to see how many people are planning to attend.  I'm getting ready to write a report for this thing and I am wondering how much paper I'll need.

Also, for anyone who is planning to keep their own notes, might you coordinate with me so the report will be all encompassing?  This way it might be more interesting to read and I can list decks with their records and such.  I usually go around during the rounds of swiss and find out everyones name (handle) and what they are playing, but if you don't mind giving this info out earlier, you can just come up to me and tell me.

I will be pretty easy to find, as I am a huge white guy (6'2", 250 lbs.) and will be wearing a red Flash Tee-shirt, possibly with a pin that says MolotDET.

  thanx in advance,

hey all, LambChopNYC here

A while back I offered to bring people from Manhattan to the store useing the George Washington Bridge Bus Terminal (GWBBT) at Broadway and 178th Street in Manhattan as the departure point.

So far no one has as mentioned they want to meet up. Thats OK, just be awear that I wont stand around and wait if I don't think anyone wants the escort. I will post again this week(I'll try for Monday or Tuesday) listing how, the EXACT location, and time when we can meet.

MolotDET, I may forget, but if you remind me at the end of the tourney, I will be happy to share with you my tourney info.

See y'all there!

We're still rallying the troops up here in Binghamton, but about five of us should be making the trek even if we can't show up in full force.

I have myself and 3 friends coming over from PA.  I am going to head over to mapquest and try to get directions to Fair Lawn, but if someone could give me directions to the store that would be great.

Since we are coming from Allentown we are going to take 78E to 287N to 80E.  I assume that Fair Lawn is off 80.  Some help would be appreciated thanks.

Game Master is on Route 4 West in Fairlawn NJ.
Take 80 West to Route 17 North, to Route 4 West.
Once on 4 West the Highway splits 3 ways, stay to your left at the split. Go down past 4 lights and we are on the right hand side, right next to a Domino's.

For anyone thats interested in the interesting:

There is going to be a huge meta-game shift, as most of the store regulars have pretty much stated that they are going to be playing different decks.

no word on what they are switching to, and there will be quite a few out of towners here, so be prepared for everything.

Hey Ray (Lambchop). my friend was going to drive a carload of us from Long Island but he's stuck with his 2 seater vette, so we were thinking of taking the LIRR to Penn and than the bus. Do you have the bus sched/any way we could get from penn to the station??

LambChopNYC checking in

Well it looks like only my friend in The Bronx will be taking me up on the escourt offer I have made.

Anyway in case anyone chooses to meet up with me at the last instant here goes:

Saturday September 21st @ 10:00

I will meet people right in front of Blockbuster Video on the corner of 178th Street and Broadway Avenue. Its part of the GWB bus terminal.
You can take the A train to 175th Street or the 1/9 train to 181st Street. Than it is a very short walk to Blockbuster.

There is a Bus that leaves at 10:15 and arrives in NJ at 10:51.
God forbid I'm late, there are buses at 10:45, 11:15, and 11:45 that will still make it to NJ in time (if there are still slots open for the Tournament).

The bus ride is about $3 and change each way.

How ever you choose to get there, I hope to see all from this region I know and to meet other new people.
