Sorry Dave Kaplan that I missed your message. We were probly posting at the same time.
I know you can do this cause I once did it before. Take the LIRR to get to Manhattan as you need. Penn would be a great stop. Than in the Mall across the street from Madison Square Garden (ontop of Penn Station), you can get the Path train to New Jersey(I think it costs $1.50 each way). Take the Path train to Hoboken, than Transfer to a New Jersey Transit Train to Fair Lawn - Broadway(I think it was from $4.00 to $9 each way) . Make sure you take the Bergan County LOCAL line with a final destination of Ruterferd(spelling?) New York. The store is about four blocks or so from the BACK of the train where you get off.
THERE ARE TWO TRAINS WITH THAT SAME FINAL DESTINATION. SO MAKE SURE YOU ARE ON THE RIGHT ONE.
I no longer have the time tables for these trains but I will try to stop at Penn and get them. NO PROMISES.
Also, you can just simply take the LIRR to New York and than take either the 1/9 train to 181 Street in Manhattan and than walk about 5 blocks to BlockBuster where I shall meet up with anyone coming. Or Take the A train to 175 Street and that subway station is connected to the George Washington Bridge Bus Terminal. Both of the train lines have stops in Penn Station. I listed departure times for the bus there in a previous post.
I should have mentioned for anyone interested in useing this route before or after I and any contingint leave. You need to take the 171 bus. Ask the Driver to let you know when you arrive at the Radburn Stop (Plaza road & Fairlawn Avenuse) so you can get off. I think the bus turns right after or just before passing the stop so you may keep an eye out the window on the right side of the bus and might notice the shop or the Dominos pizza right next to it. This bus is about $3.50 each way. You can pay on the bus, during weekdays there is a booth in the terminal where you can buy tickets and get a bus time table but I di not know if it will be open on Saterday.
On a good note, for the way back, the bus is right across the street less than a full block away!
Westerdale, Just let me know on Friday. Also it could be of help to people if you would be willing to share those train directions you have. Or were they the same ones, I just gave?
Hope to see y'all there!

Damn I am happy this is such a hot ticket! Can't wait to see all you guys, so I can put some faces to the names I know. I might be taking some pictures so I can include a group photo with my report. We'll see how that goes. As for: Quote So who is going to win this tournament and what are they going to be playing. I am MolotDET and I will be playing DETrix.... See you guys in 3 days, Also does anyone think it might be a bad idea to go clubbing the night before the torny? My friend is a DJ that will be working at a brand new club that is opening friday. So we will all get in for free, with vip passes and such.

Quote (jasongame @ Sep. 14 2002,12:27)Lord Goats: most you miss is one round if you show up by 3:15. You can easily make top 4. I would make the trip in order to win a Lotus dosen't it start at 12? ...3 hours and 15 minutes seems a little long for 1 round. confirm this for me... team goat may rip everything up after all....

There will probably be quite a few reports. I plan on bringing a camera and since kl0wn will be getting a ride with me, the trip is certain to be very interesting.
See everyone on Saturday!

***IMPORTANT***
I am Changeing My Meeting at 178th Street and Broadway in front of BlockBuster from
10:00AM to 11:00AM
We meet @ 11:00 and take the 11:15 bus arriveing there @ 11:56.
Other people can also take these:
10:15 bus and arrive at 10:51 10:45 bus and arrive at 11:26 11:15 bus and arrive at 11:56, my bus 11:45 bus and arrive at 12:26
For those who want to take a risk, you can hope the 12:15 bus has no delays and gets you there on time at 12:56.
You take the 171 bus from the GWB to Radburn (Plaza Road & Fairlawn Avenue).
Dave: I highly suggest you and your friends skip on taking three trains there and take two trains to get to me and than we take a bus. There is only one train that will work on the Saterday TimeTable. Miss that and you guys are Screwed!
If you still want to take the LIRR, the PATH, and finally a New Jewsay Transit Train, here is what to do. Take the LIRR to Penn, Manhattan and than take the PATH(an entrance is in the MALL across the Street from Madison Square Garden, above Penn.) to Hoboken, you can transfer at the same station(I think one level up) to a Bergen County Line with a final stop of Suffern at 9:55AM and arrive at Fairlawn - Broadway at 10:23. There are no other trains on a Saterday timetable any good. Remember to take the Bergan County Line, NOT the Main Line, that one skips the stop.
I think it is about 20 to 40 minutes from 33rd Street Manhattan to Hoboken on the PATH.
It is about the same time taking the 1/9 train to 181 Street or A Train to 175 Street from Penn to where I will meet with people at 178th Street and Broadway in front of Blockbuster. I hope to meet people at
11:00 and take the 11:15 bus that will arrive there at 11:56
