Good day to you all.   My name is ~insert name here~.  I played in the NG tournament Sunday, 8/25/2002.  I "won" by tiebreaker, which I think was unfair.  I thnk we should have been able to finish the match . . . but whatever.

Deck:
//NAME: Burning Boas
        2 Hull Breach
        1 Wheel of Fortune
        4 Urza's Rage
        4 Chain Lightning
        4 Lightning Bolt
        4 Incinerate
        4 Llanowar Elves
        4 River Boa
        3 Blastoderm
        3 Nimble Mongoose
        3 Blurred Mongoose
        1 Black Vise
        1 Zuran Orb
        4 Land Grant
        2 Mountain
        6 Forest
        4 Taiga
        4 Mishra's Factory
        1 Wasteland
        1 Strip Mine
SB:  3 Null Rod
SB:  2 Hull Breach
SB:  3 Blood Moon
SB:  2 Anarchy
SB:  3 Compost
SB:  2 City of Solitude

Yes I know the deck sucks . . . but I LIKE IT!

7 people.  It would have been sanctioned if the other Keeper player actually played in the tournament, but he was too busy playing Lord of the Rings.

Match one: I played against a guy who borrowed hi friend's ~baaaaaaaaad~ burn deck.  His entire game was . . . Firebolt, Fire Diamond, Recoup the Firebolt then flash it back for the lower cost.  Oh wow.  That did a whopping 4 points of damage. I beat him 2-0.

Match two: Versus Mono Black.
Game one: Negator . . . Nantuko Shade . . . puts me down to like 5 or something.  Zuran orb then burn Negator . . . I win game one.
Game two: I make the stupid mistake of sideboarding OUT the Hull Breaches, and then after the match starts, I remember what his sideboard has . . . ARTIFACTS!  Either way, his deck is supposedly really great, but I end up winning anyway.  He doesn't do much damage . . . and Masticore never hits the table, so I win pretty easily.  He calls it incredible luck, and I call it a good hand. 2-0

Match Three: LamchopNYC (Keeper)
Going into this matchup . . . oen o us was going to win the tournament.  We are the only two with 2 wins . . . so technically it's the finals.  I don't expect to win, but you gotta hope that you do!
Let me remind you all, that I have a BAAAAD memory . . . so I really don't remember how tha matches went.  Maybe Lambchop can fill in here for me.  All I remember is that I win game one . . .  finally . . . and he ends up sacrificing his Morphling to The Abyss (by accident). I end up sideboarding out a bunch of burn to sideboard in everything except the Composts . . . and I remember how the opening went for game two.
Second turn Hull Breach, Third turn Hull Breach, Fifth turn Hull Breach, and then Moat pops out and I can't win.  When I draw an Anarchy, it gets countered waaaaaaaay too fast.  Morphling rules game two.
Game three . . . we take a restroom break, and ten when we're ready, there's ONE MINUTE left.  So we try to hurry up, and I end up haveing more control over the game after the five turn clock . . . but Not enough time to play it out fully.  So we go to the tiebreaker and I end up winning.  Wow . . . that was so NOT pleasing.  Well . . . maybe I'll have better luck next week.  Maybe I'll actually BEAT him.

It is to bad we didn't finish.
We should have aggreed to just take the draw since it was not sanctioned and kept on playing that third game.

I was noty really worried about all the damage I took early, I played that 1st turn caltrops, had some counters in my hand for anything really important and some other good stuff. Still, to bad we didn't finish. That is the first time that time was called in the finals in I can't remember how long.

Somthing I think is funny is that while you sideboarded what ten cardsrds? I was able to bring in nine cards myself.

I know that not all will agree, but as far as I am concerned, a win is a win. So congrats.
