This isn't traditional Type 1 but it is more type 1 than anything else. I posted a report about this type of tournament before I think.
The rules are minimum 100 card deck size, no Power allowed, no sideboards. After 3.5 hours of open play (min 10 games required) the Top 32 (turnout ranges from 120-200) advance to the Master's and play single elim for Mox. The rest play single elim in the Apprentice (which I call jabronie) bracket for lesser prizes.
