Where to play in Los Angles

Does anyone know of places in California near LA to play vintage? I wasn't sure if this was the place to post this, but I guess if it's not, I'll find it moved

I asked the same question before Thanksgiving; the thread got moved to the Community forum.  You might check there to catch the replies I got (mostly negative).

One really good recommendation was the Frank & Sons Saturday event.  Its not particularly T1, but it is a great place to go and get cards.  Or Hot Wheels, or any collectable you might desire.

You can occasionally pick up a game at Franks.  We tried running T1, but we found that it was only the same old guys who played with me down in Orange County.  They do have the absolute best deals on all cards, vintage or not.  Don't buy from Steve (fat guy who can't help but tell dumb jokes); trade with him.  He's got a fucked up system.


On that note, the only serious T1 scene in SoCal is down in San Diego.  They run weekly tournies on Sat and Monday, plus once a month they have a big one on a saturday.  I tried to get something going in Orange County, but unfortunately, our stores have almost all closed down.  You can try the Costa Mesa Women's Club; they hold all the major tournies/ptq's in the area, plus all the little side drafts and whatnot.

Depending on when you'll be down here, I MIGHT be able to get the guys together.  Can usually draw like 6-8 people, but people are moving away.
