Who will win quebec's first 2003 type1 tournament?

Just a reminder, there is a unsanctioned type1 tournament held on the 4th of january 2003 at boutique l'imaginaire in Québec city.

Usually, about fifty peoples show up every tourney.

The prizes are:

1st: 100$ cash(cnd) or 125$ in store products
2nd: 70$ in store products
3rd-4th: 35$ in store products
5th-8th: 10$ in store products

Yeah... so I may be taking a road trip the weekend of this tourney.  The way I figure it we swing up to Canada for the Saturday T1, then swing down to Syracuse for the Mana Drain Invitational.

What a bad reason to take a huge ass road trip.  Anyhow, the details are in the works, so "The CT Crew" may be popping their filthy little heads into this tourney.

You'd be better off going to Montreal on the sunday. They'll hold their Monthly Type 1 that week-end too.

what do they usually have for prizes in montreal, no offense to mordraid, but 100 store credit ($67 US) isn't much for a 50 person tourney

it's not 100$ in store prizes, it's 100 cash.

And by the way, why not go to both ?? quebec and montreal, the montly tourney in montreal is held on sunday, and saturday in quebec.

If you still argue that the prizes are too small, i'm not so sure that beside the lotus, mtl provides better prizes. Aside, the entree fee is  a third of the mtl prizes (average) 7$ vs 20$

By the way, if you just post to say the prizes are dumb, don't come, that's it, that's all !

I was making this post to invite people to a new metagame they probably ignore. if it's isn't an appeal, then i think it is just too bad !

I'll be there and will be waiting to kick some new ass !

In Montreal, entry fee is 10$, first prize is 150$ cash, and the rest of the Top 8 gets store credit based on attendance. Last month, there were 42 people, and the prizes were 150$-90$-50$-20$.

Mordraid: the 20$ entry fee was only for the Lotus tourney. Usual fee is 10$.

Well the Sunday thing doesn't work anyway cause the The Mana Drain Invitational inspired this whole trip, and that's a helluva lot cooler than a monthly T1.  Why don't YOU go down to Syracuse?

Because this is the week-end of Grand Prix: New Orleans. By the way, there's a Type 1 event scheduled there too during the week-end.

First prize is an Unlimited Black Lotus, second an Unlimited Mox Emerald (20$ US to register).

The tournament is on sunday morning, at 9h.
