Hello all. I just wanted to call to your attention an event happening in Mass this week:
name - Retro Draft
location - Bridgewater, MA
store - Scholars' (located in Bridgewater Center)
date/time - Friday, 01/03/03, 7pm (7:30pm knowing us)
The draft which has an entry fee of $25, contains one pack from each expansion from Unlimited up thru today. Each person will get a random pack, as well as 2 Onslaught packs. Winner of the draft will a box of cards (likely Onslaught), prizes for 2nd and 3rd will be available.
Additionally, the TO said that depending on the number of people that enter, 2 random packs (and one Onslaught) will be distributed instead.

Hi, I'll try to answer your questions the best I can.
I'm not the TO, I'm just a friend of the guy running it. I didn't even know about it until last Friday.
Here's what they told me...
He said the Unlimited pack was "good". What that means is unknown to me.
Last time we did this draft, we had just under 40 people. However due to the holiday season, and lack of promotion I expect far less.
Also, the guy who's running it (name of Rick) said he'll be at Scholars' before 5pm to get things going.
Sorry if that doesn't help, but I'm kinda in the dark myself.

Shivan or Stasis would be rather blase in my opinion. Needless to say, since there seems to be some degree of interest, and it is a rather unique event, I'll do my best to post a tourney report of some kind sometime next week.
