Well, I guess all of you who predicted my demise were right.  But then my deck sure helped out a bunch.  Didn't see a Serendib or a Morphling either game.  I've got the logs for either game if anyone would like to see them.  I also realized somehow I only sent a 14 card sideboard.  I don't really care either way, it's just wierd that I did that. Anyways, onto the action.

We roll d20s to go first, AxeMurder rolls a 1 and I roll a 3.  I win with a 3?  Well that was lucky =)

Game 1: Started off well, Delta for Island, Lotus, Cloudskate, Rootwater Thief.  Made a mistake here.  Should have played 2 skates.  Ended up Misdirecting the other away when the game was already out of hand.  The extra 6 damage would have changed things.  Game went on, I did some minor damage took away some good stuff (Ancestral, Cunning Wish, Time Walk), and drew nothing useful.  He casts a Dryad.  He then casts Curiousity on it and I try to MisD it to one of mine (lose the 'skate here).  He MisD's back and then I continue to draw nothing while he has fun boosting his dryad.  Cast a FoF in the middle somewhere, but got nothing useful.  Another Dryad comes to play and it's off to game 2.

Sideboarded in 2 Kegs, a Gainsay and a Capsize.  Out: 2 Thieves, 1 MisD, 1 Mystical Tutor.  I never saw any of the SB cards either.  *sigh*.

Game 2:  I start again and get a good start.  Factory, Sapphire, ZoRb, Ancestral, Sol Ring.  He plays a lotus for a Dryad that gets Forced, then plays a Werebear.  Things are looking ok.  Get a 'Skate sometime along the way and another Mishra.  In the mean time, he casts Time Walk twice, Ancestral, etc, etc, etc.  Bear hits me once then dies to a 4/4 Factory.  He gets a Dryad out, I try to Blast it when it's 4/4.  He MisDs.  Yay.  I love taking 6 from the blast.  We had a little discussion there, as I was taking 6 from the dryad as well and he thought I should take 10 in total (forgot about the 2 to me from the Blast).  Didn't really matter though.  I drew nothing twice more and died.

Well that's it.  AxeMurder was a nice guy to play against and I wish him well in the rest of the tourney.  I'm pretty sure my deck can't crap out any more next time (though I did get good starts, it was the mid game that was terrible), so I like my chances.  =)

I don't want to go find his list for gro but it is so threat light that with a rootwater theif i would almost always go for his dryads

AxeMurder is playing a Gro very heavy in creatures; you should definitely check his list.  Rootwater Thief is probably pretty useless against him as he has 4 of pretty much everything he needs.  Does Gro need to cast Ancestral or Time Walk to win?  Generally, no.  If he were playing only Dryads, Theif'ing them might be the right play.  But he has Werebears and Mongrels also.  Either one should be plenty to race Serendibs, if not Morphlings.
