Sorry, to tell you that it is not a late April fools day joke.
The reason being is that I was offered a really good job making twice as much as i make with the store.  Iam still going to be heavily involved in the Type 1 community  running events and Crazy Con.  We did not work very hard to make Type 1 what it is today for nothing, so we are not going to just let it go. Crazy's will still be known for the  best Type 1 events in the Midwest area.

Why not just hire someone intelligent who has a pulse of the community (read: me) to manage and run the store?

Because you've recognized the clear superiority of California to Chicago, and, you've exaggerated your intellegence just a little bit......itty bitty little bit....

I agree, this does suck. If you close, your players wont be generating lots of points for us Minneapolis guys to come steal at the Crazy Con. On another note, where are the pics from the original Con at?

Now that I will be running the Type 1's @ the Gaming Depot, one of the owners (Scott) is a level 2 judge so that means the Type 1's will be 24K. More points to win & more to lose.

I will get all the pics up no later then May on my site, so when they are up I will put up a post, sorry for the long wait.

Hey, think of this as an opportunity! Someone dedicated & motivated should contact this other store & see about running more Type 1 events (rather than whining or moping....) If y'all are serious about wanting more events, step up & contribute. Remember, you do not have to be a certified judge to run a tournament and y'all can switch out who has responsibility so that you all can play (IF you even need to do that - if the store has an in-house judge/coordinator, even better  Look for solutions!

What happened?  I leave for one month to go halfway around the world to get married and I find out that the store is closed.  Actually, I won't be back for another two weeks so I will have to sort out everything when I get back.  I am very disappointed though, but look forward to meeting everyone again at the new place soon.
