Honestly, can a combo deck with just 1 desire even work?

Also to brian: I talked to nick last night and I guess Dan isn't running the busing service this time, = hadley peeps dont go. Also, by Sam, do you mean dan's son? I agree that  jared hasnt won a tourney in awhile, but that little streak that he went on there set him for a long time. Didnt he win like YMG boston, then Hadley, then somethin else in a month?

Personally, i'd like to see a rhode islander take it home, but seeing we have so few representatives the odds arnt as good as someone from outside.  Hell, maybe i'll win.

Desire's not even essential.
Tendrils after a half dozen spells is game.
4x Gush contributes way too heavily to that agenda.

It's not just Desire, it's Storm in general. Since I'm probably not going to be attending, I'll let the cat partially out of the bag:

I think the reason why the DCI restricted Gush is not because of GAT, but because of Gush's interaction with Storm cards. Imagine, if you will, a deck that is very similar to GAT, aside from being almost immune to counters, StoP, and REB.

I won't reveal a decklist or anything since it's possible that I might still be attending and I'd like a Sapphire if I decide to mosey on down to RI. It's also an irellevant decklist beyond your kooky tournament so it really has no bearing on anything (except a $35 mox).
