This has been my pet deck in T1 for quite some time and i was just wondering if i could get a critique from some competitive players cause there is no competitive T1 in my area   and i do not play online. I have played this against my friends who do have teir 1 decks, just havent played it in that many turneys. It seems to do pretty well against other control decks cause of the uncounterable card drawing and it seems to out race sligh if you can get an infest out early and then intuition    . i was also wondering if there is too much GY hate in the metagame to prevent this from being a contender, and if there are enuff B2Bs floating around to justify the high basic land count. The deck is stronger than it first looks and has a reasonable chance against everything i have played against accept suicide black.

T1 ZombieGo
3 Zombie infestation
4 force of will
4 circular logic
1 forbid
1 misdirection
2 intuition
2 cunning wish
3 powder keg
1 demonic
1 ancestral
1 mystical
1 time walk
1 frantic search
1 yag will
1 vamp (Tho second guessing this now, thanks     )
3 Squee
2 Krovikan Horror
1 wonder

4 bazzar of baghdad

3 mox jet, rubie, saphire
1 lotus
2 wasteland
1 stripmine
4 underground sea
2 poluted delta
1 swamp
2 undergrond river
7 islands

Sb Depends on meta game but this is what i am currently running

1 fof
1 diabolic edict
1 forbid
1 misdirection
1 intuition
1 hurkels recall
1 teferis response
1 hydroblast
1 counterspell
2 candelabra of tawnos
2 ashen ghouls
2 b2b

I was thinking of making a red splash for fire/ice Pyroblast, Firestorm(in the board), mox monkey, but am unsure if it is worth sacrificing the mana base for it. I am a big fan of the basic land in T1 just cause of wastelands B2B, Price, Ect. all inteligent/constructive comments welcome. Thanks

Have you considered running Deep Analysis and/or Skeletal Scrying as alternatives to the Squee/Bazaar engine?  The problem I've seen with the Squee engine is either not drawing Squees or not drawing Bazaars, and since you have little search otherwise (Demonic and Vampiric - mystical can't fetch engine pieces) they might be a good idea, although not having played the deck I can't really comment on how trading that much life would hurt you, or how often you have things in the graveyard other than Squee.  It would seem that DA would be a natural fit though.

Additionally, you have no removal other than Powder Keg and what you can Wish for, and even then that is a single Edict.  You mention that it does well in the control matchup, and I can definitely see that - but it seems to me that without any disruption and little removal, good aggro such as TNT, Mask or Sligh would be a very tough matchup.  Is the Zombie infestation enough to keep back the beats?

Frantic Search??

Anyway, here is what I would suggest as MD changes:

-1 Frantic Search, -1 Forbid; +2 Deep Analysis
-1 Bazaar, -1 Powder Keg; +2 Ensnaring Bridge/Masticore

I'd keep the Vamp - it's usually poor against control, but you already state that you usually do well against control, and fast aggro could be tough, which is where Vamp shines.

As for the sideboard, I understand that it is very meta dependent, but I'd suggest the following:

-2 Candelabra, -2 Ashen Ghoul, -1 Hydroblast

+ 1 Ebony Charm, +1 Chainer's Edict, +1 Boomerang (enchantment removal), +1 Masticore, +1 Zuran Orb

I honestly don't see the purpose of the Candelabras - what do you side them in against?  One Hydroblast seems silly.

Anyway, hope this helps - just my $0.02.

iMO DA is to slow, but more card drawing may be a good idea. The frantic search is just for cheap card drawing its 'drawback' is irrelevent cause of squee ect. it is also good if you have a bazzar out under a B2B. Candelabra is in the deck for when you side in the B2B's or have them Sided against you, as b2b can shut you down, however they may get the yank. As for not having search, i do have 2 intuition as well as a 3rd in the board and the frantic, and bazzar also acts as card drawing, maybe ad AK's?, but they seem slow (but so is my deck sometimes). As far as surviving vs beat down it can be tough however for removal i do also have the hurkyls recal as well as free counterspells, so i do have a chance vs tnt and mask. i proly will ad an extra edict and a capsize to the board as for ensnaring bridge once you get some bazzar/squee action going your hand gets very large especialy if your holding back counters so i dont think thats quite the right solution but maybe energy flux?. I did run this deck in a small turney once and i went 4-0 in games vs sligh so i am not to worried about that matchup, i did have trouble a month ago playing vs my friends powered academy deck so maybe an arcane lab or 2 would be good. Thanx for posting your $0.02 worth it was much apreciated.

ZombieGo is, for the most part, not competitive in most Type 1 metagames. (Although in less competitive ones like yours it works very well). ZobieGo has very good potential in Extended, although its a much different concept than what you have here. But other than that, I like it. I do disagree with Reanimator on adding DeepAnal, and I think Skeletal Scrying, or even Read the Runes has a better place in the deck.
