I've been thinking should i add green to my void, and asking advice from you guys now. Here are the 20 decks that were played at last t1 tournament(sorry for the list being quite long) :
1 shahrazad-burning wish, 1 mask, 3 control, 2 sligh, 1 pox, 2 dragon, 1 abm, 2 monoblack, 2 B/W, 1 TnT, 1 Turbonevyn, 1 Bloom, 1 Replenish, 1 U/G madness

Here's my list:
Mana(30)
1 Strip Mine
4 Wasteland
4 Mishra's Factory
14 Swamp
1 Sol Ring
1 Black Lotus
1 Mox Jet
4 Dark Ritual

Creatures(8)
4 Hypnotic Specter
4 Nantuko Shade

Others(22)
3 Nether Void
4 Sinkhole
4 Duress
4 Hymn to Tourach
4 Powder Keg
1 Necropotence
1 Demonic Tutor
1 Yawgmoth's Will

SB(15)
4 Spinning Darkness
3 Phyrexian Negator
2 Masticore
2 Dystopia
3 Diabolic Edict
1 Tormod's Crypt

And here's the list I was thinking to make:
Mana(31)
1 Strip Mine
4 Wasteland
4 Mishra's Factory
4 Bayou
10 Swamp
1 Sol Ring
1 Black Lotus
1 Mox Jet
1 Mox Emerald (don't have but will get if needed)
4 Dark Ritual

Creatures(8)
4 Hypnotic Specter
4 Nantuko Shade

Others(21)
3 Nether Void
4 Sinkhole
4 Duress
4 Hymn to Tourach
3 Pernicious Deed
1 Necropotence
1 Demonic Tutor
1 Yawgmoth's Will

SB(15)
4 Spinning Darkness
2 Masticore
4 Diabolic Edict
1 Tormod's Crypt
4 Naturalize

Firstly, which decklist would you pick? Secondly, what changes would you make? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.\n\n

Obviously you don't want to lower your land count, playing Void and all, but I highly suggest using a couple fetchlands to find the Bayous if you intend to use Deed with any regularity in the early game where it matters most (buying time for Void to hit the table and whatnot)

Other than that, looks great.

All things considered, run the mono-black version of Nether Void. (Devil's Bile) You are not adding too much by splashing into green, save for the 4 Naturalize in sideboard and the 3 Pernicious Deeds maindeck.

Powder Keg fills the Pernicious Deed slot sufficiently most of the time. The Naturalizes don't have a black substitute, but considering your metagame, they are not too critical. (Could be useful against the TnT match though, and probably the Bloom as well)

As for any changes to the decklist, I do not suggest changing anything, as the list is optimal and congruent with Zherbus' Devil's Bile version I believe.

Good Luck in the next tourney and keep playing Vintage!

Thanks for the advice guys. The manabase was also hard woth green(tested pains too), and I decided to stay with monoblack. What would you do with my sideboard? I don't feel it's the best possible...

I'd like to see some dystopia in there, to have a chance against Moat, Oath, and who knows what not. I doubt you really need 4 edicts in the sideboard.

I'd replace the naturalizes (assuming your dropping green alltogether) with 4 Negators, to side in vs control. Rit-Negator is the next best thing first turn to Rit-Necro.

Long ago when I ran land destruction or void it was always black/green for the sinkholes, ice storms, etc.. It also gave me access to Drop of Honey (not an enchant world so works with Nether Void out). Back then there was no negator so I'd normally finish someone off with Autumn Willow, Jade Statue, or Whirling Dervish.

With Pernicious Deed available I'd really consider black/green if I put my Void deck back together. In addition, for a little heavier green mana base, you gain access to Holistic Wisdom (GG1 enchantment Pay 2 and remove a card in your hand from the game, return target card from your graveyard that shares a type with the card removed). Holistic Wisdom under the Void lock is sick (every land you draw recurs your strip mine/wasteland, each discad sorcery recurs land destruction or vice versa).

With green you also gain Naturalize, Moment's Peace (fog twice or more with Holistic Wisdom), Ice Storm if you need more land destruction, as well as some decent Abyss proof creatures. Drop of Honey is also a decent solution to creatures and only costs G while killing 1 a turn until all creatures are dead. Also a single living wish could be used as a kill card allowing more room for disruption.

Sideboard options are alot more robust with green as well. Compost, Choke, Naturalize, etc... all do a very good job. Naturalize is usually superior to Dystopia since your opponent should not have alot of permanents out under Void.

The trade off is mostly in the mana base and the loss of some consistency/discard effects. Depending on what people play in your area you may need to stick with the heavier discard to get the void out.

As said once, I won't add green. Because of testing and what you guys said. You can see what people play in my area reading what i wrote first

If you want to stay straight black your first deck list looks fine to me. Might want to add a few more crypts and/or planar voids to your sideboard since you seem to play against alot of graveyard recursion decks.

I assume the Masticores are in there mostly against The Abyss? It's nice small creatures removal but I doubt it will live to long with all the edict, STP, etc.. removal. Might want to swap them out for Mutilates if your mostly using them for creature removal. Not sure what you sideboard them in against or why so not sure on that.

A rather odd suggestion might be to include some Ankh's in main or side. When someone's trying to work around the Void they have to drop land, which you destroy, etc... The Ankh's also work really well against the turboland variants.

About all I can think of. I never really ran the deck straight black but there's alot more available now that looks like it makes it work. Power kegs, Duress, etc...

I made couple of changes to the deck. The reason I decidec to try without Masticores is that I don't side them in too often... Any thoughts?
MD:
-1 Powder Keg
+1 Demonic Consultation

SB:
-2 Masticore
+1 Powder Keg
+1 Tormod's Crypt

Maybe Vampiric Tutor instead of the Demonic Consultation? You have alot of 1 of's that you can't safely consult for. Guess it would depend on what you were consulting for and if you have to have it then or if next draw was good enough.

Not sure if they would work the way you need them to or not but Chainer's Edict is a re-useable Diabolic but it's a sorcery instead of instant. Diabolic is better for things like Jade Statue and Mishra's but you can get 2 for one out of Chainer's. Course under the Void the flashback of Chainer's would cost you 10.

I suggest keeping the Demonic Consultation, mostly because it is not card disadvantage like the Vampiric Tutor. In Void, you usually do not consult for 1-ofs, and even if you do, it still has a good chance of working.

As far as the Diabolic/Chainer's Edict goes, I personally prefer the Diabolic Edict, because it is an instant, allowing it to hit cards like Chimeric Idol, etc. Chainer's Edict is generally fine, but I do not like the flashback cost of 5BB plus possible 3 extra due to Nether Void. Also, if you cast Yawgmoth's Will, you can flashback the Diabolic Edict for 1B, so it can potentially be used twice as well.

After testing a bit more, I decided to take the consultation off. I just didn't like it. So changes:

-1 Demonic Consultation
+1 Powder Keg

SB:
-1 Powder Keg
+1 Phyrexian Negator
