Forgotten Ancient in Gro

Forgotten Ancient (the You Make the Card #1) seems like a perfect card for Gro to me. Granted its slower than Quirion Dryad, it seems like it would work far better due to its gaining a counter whenever an opponent plays a spell which, if I'm not mistaken, would occur before the spell resolved, dealing damage to the Ancient, or causing a similar negative effect. What do you all think?

I'm not sure if it will see play or not as Psychatog is obviously the better second grow creature.  The best thing about it seems to be that it is a decent way to sink drain mana.  I will probably try it out once Scourge is released but I dont think it will make the optimal build.

It honestly looks to be too much mana, since you will have to scarafice alot of growing to get him out (as in, missing four mana of cheap drawing).

I want to see if anyone can make gro work in type 2 when he comes out though, it will be fun to try.

If you open threads like these, give more information, for example what the card you are talking about does. Its not even printed yet iirc.
