I've had this list kicking around since scourge, and I finally looked at it today and updated it with chalice SB, leaving out spoils. I wanted to post it because I'm formatting my computer now mainly, but it's also an interesting list that I just never played.. it was meant for backup when I had to give back plainswalker's intuitions Well, here it is MonoBlack (almost) Dragon 4 Worldgorger Dragon 2 Squee, Goblin Nabob 1 Sliver Queen 1 Ambassador Laquatus 4 Duress 3 Unmask 2 Animate Dead 4 Dance of the Dead 3 Necromancy 4 Buried Alive 1 Demonic Tutor 1 Vampiric Tutor 3 "metagame slots", I guess. IRL I do 2 verdant force and am testing a 3rd slot as of.. now. 4 Bazaar of Baghdad 4 Dark Ritual 4 Bayou 4 Fetchlands 2 Ancient Tomb 1 Mox Jet 1 Black Lotus 1 Mana Vault 1 Mana Crypt 1 Sol Ring 1 Lotus Petal 3 Swamp
SB: 2 Verdant Force SB: 1 Symbiotic Wurm SB: 3 Naturalize SB: 3 Xantid Swarm SB: 3 Reanimate SB: 3 Chalice of the Void (used to be deeds for additional combat of artifact prison. You can sort of see how my sideboard IS artifact prison hate)
As I said, I've had it kicking around for literally like 4 months so it could probably use updating. I realize that this won't be "new" to anyone since european players have been using swarm in their SB since the last big tourney, but I would never run them in U/B.. only in a deck like this.\n\n

Sorry to ask this, but have you tested Spoils yet? Do you feel that more speed is needed?
Why is this build better than the standard U/B build, which spots more disruption, search, and answers as the sacrifice of a couple of turns.
Just asking to broaden my knowledge on the subject.

Ok, I mentioned spoils in my post, and I also mentioned that I have done almost no testing. If there is a reason to consider this build better than u/b, it would be its resilience vs artifact hate, its speed, and its cost effectiveness. Pretty much anyone can take this to a tourney and expect to t8 relatively easily I should think.. unless they were in dulmen or something.

this build is faster, but it's less consistent.

Is Unmask really worth using over Cabal Therapy? Unmask is card disadvantage and a Misdirection target, I just don't see the reasoning behind using it over Therapy ... the speed difference is marginal at best.

This thread is pretty old, but B/G is still a fresh concept and a damn good one at that. Here's the list now:
4 Worldgorger Dragon 2 Squee, Goblin Nabob 1 Sliver Queen 1 Ambassador Laquatus 4 Duress 3 Cabal Therapy 3 Animate Dead 4 Dance of the Dead 2 Necromancy 4 Buried Alive 1 Demonic Tutor 1 Vampiric Tutor 3 Spoils of the Vault 4 Bazaar of Baghdad 4 Dark Ritual 1 Swamp 5 Fetchlands 2 Ancient Tomb 1 Mox Jet 1 Mox Emerald- it's been every Mox worth testing at one point- Chrome, then Diamond, and finally this. 1 Black Lotus 1 Mana Vault 1 Mana Crypt 1 Sol Ring 1 Lotus Petal 4 Bayou
SB: 3 Verdant Force SB: 4 Xantid Swarm SB: 3 Reanimate SB: 3 Pernicious Deed SB: 2 Tormod's Crypt
This list is pretty hot right now. It's faster than other combo, packs the necessary hate to steamroll control, and deeds/reanimates/verdants for artifact prison. It obviously isn't losing to aggro anytime soon either.. although r/u fish can actually be a little rough if they know what they're doing and have a good sideboard.
