I'm not saying that Manabond should be included on Oshawa Stompy or any other Madness Deck, I just want to know why hasn't it been included as I think it allows really nasty things on first turn.
Has anybody tested it?

Manabond
Enchantment {G}
At the end of your turn, you may reveal your hand and put all land cards from it into play. If you do, discard your hand.

Yeah, I've tested it. There are numerous problems with it. First, it's only really useful first turn - after that, it's pretty much dead. It's also dead in multiples, so any after the first are a wasted draw. Last, it removes vital cards like Survival, Mongrel, and Ascetic from your hand when used first turn, and, as already stated, it's useless after that.

You could use it, but It isnt all that great. Its much better in the three color version lacking bazaars because they can still get uses out of their flashback stuff. It doesnt do anything that BigO cant already do.

I think Manabond is definitely a reasonable consideration just like Anvil of Bogardun is.  However, neither of these is more : consistent, cheaper, versatile or superior in any way than cards already fulfilling the draw/discard function ie.SotF and Bazaar.

Manabond is a lil too narrow imo and there is no room to fit it in.  Now in my 100 card T1.5 version however......

I thought maybe adapting to Manabond, and putting more Flashback cards a la Roar of the Wurm, so you could drop a first turn Arrogant + rootwalla and then flashback the cards in your graveyard next turns.  It would also enable the drop of 2-3 lands on first turn, to activate rootwallas/play flashback cards what I consider really useful.

If its drawn mid-game, its useless, but the deck is called Stompy, and what kind of stompy deck is good mid/late game? j/k

Madness is an aggresive deck with a reasonably light mana base. It wants to play first.

So in 7 cards, playing first, how much benefit are you going to get from this? One land gets used to play the manabond (5 cards left). So of those 5 cards, how many will be other lands that you can play out with it(typically 1-2). Then you lose any non-madness, non-flashback spells, often can't pay to madness the Wurm, and all you've really done is empty your hand for a bad exploration.

Then, later on it makes a monumentally bad topdeck.

Well, as a rogue, generally midgame-focussed deckbuilder Oshawa Stompy is unlike 10 land El Stompy since it does have a particularly strong midgame.

Mark!  Good to see you posting!
