The Prohibit Analysis

PoD finally put up what I submitted to them last Monday. Ugh. So quit them.

Anyway, there are juicy tables inside. Enjoy.

One thing it would have been useful to note is that it's usually a poor trade to counter a zero- or one-mana spell with a two-mana counter. You lose tempo somethin' fierce that way, and a good player will punish you for that.

I would just like to say, who has the gall to write about prohibit without mentioning my famous (infamous) mono blue list with prohibit???

In defense of my choice in 2001 - Workshop was not around yet and everything except Mind twist, Morphling, FoW, and Misd cost 2 - and those spells weren't a problem becuase you prohibit the first spell, which they try to Misd or fow, and then you fow or misd their fow.

Clearly it would require a man of unrelenting power, confidence, and masculinity, who heartily enjoyed (a) crushing his enemies, (b) seeing them driven before him, and (c) hearing the lamentation of the women.

My main reason was seriously that I like typing "kickered" and I couldn't think of a better way to provide text for the data. I swear, if you kids had the slightest understanding of how my brain worked you'd be the ones lamenting, driving, and being crushed.

Interesting article by the way. I've always been a fan of Prohibit... at least until I found out about Smmenen's Mono-U Prohibit  Razz
