Could the use of Elvish Spirit Guide allow access to green mana with lesser difficulty, or would that take up slots better occupied by other cards?  It seems to be the latter; have you tested ESG at all?

ESG is probably on par with Lotus Petal, since blue mana is sometimes good to have early. Either one is definitely worse than Lotus, which there just isn't room for. Maybe in a budget version, but even there lands would probably be better.

Black Vise and mis-d have been amazing. Now I have to find room in the side for more BeBs, Swords, and Crypts.

I have just recently have an obsession with this deck. How have the Maze of Iths been doing for you? That slot in the board I have been having some debate on since it takes out my mana resoures in the budget version when  I want to get out my man lands and have enough mana to have them go ghetto beats on them. Also tell me if im blind but how would Hidden Guerillas main would work out? Since now days mostly everydeck plays artifacts. Thanks for making the UG version work too.

The problem with MD Guerrillas is that Null Rod is enough for most artifacts. It's only against something like Workshop Slaver or TnT that the Guerrillas will always wake up.

As for the Mazes, you probably don't want to play them until you get to 2 mana, so you can drop other stuff too. It's mostly there to help hold off big creatures while you continue to beat down, so getting stuff out first is a priority. If you want to hold off creatures in a budget version (I'm assuming no Drops of Honey), you could try Sigil of Sleep.

Assuming for the budget version we dont have any p9, what replacments would you chose for the 2 moxs plus Time Walk/ Ancestral?
See: the thread on this deck in the budget forum.

What do you think about ground seal in the board.  I have been testing it and its been good, but there might be better cards for that slot.

Also, how do you board vs workshop decks?  There are so many things to side in, but I have no idea what to side out.
