The post topic says it all. Ive been at Temple U for 2 yrs now and at this point, im convinced T1 doesnt exist in Philly. Can somebody please prove me wrong?

hey,
Perth Amboy is about 60 mins from Philly. There is a type 1 tourney here on april 3rd.

I also have to agree with the fact that there doesn't seem to be much activity around this area.
Our playarea in Reading, after thriving for a year, is really starting to die away as well.
I feel that this area of country is in desperate need of somebody or something big FAST.

There is a new cardshop West of Philly in West Chester, PA. The shop is only a few months old, but we are doing our best to encourage T1. I playtest with my team 3 nights a week. The name is GroundZeroGaming and it on Gay St. in West Chester. It is a pretty cool shop as it is until 4am on Saturdays, you can bring outside food in, etc.
Like I said, the T1 scene is kinda weak, but it is a new place and maybe we can work on it. I am fully powered and the store has already put up a LoA for a tourney prize, and has several moxes and a Beta lotus that might get put up in the future.

It's a dice roll on the weekend as for T1 playtesting/turnout, but on Monday and Thursday night the regulars play. At least you can check out the place.

I'm glad to hear this good news. If my college schedule doesn't eat me alive I'll try my best to attend a few nights. The tournaments around here are only for small amounts of cash so power cards sound much better to me. Psionic: If you have any other information, let us know. This is a great opportunity. |

You know what sucks? Not having a car. West Chester is like SO far away. But, thanks a lot guys for the help. Like you all said, maybe we can get a community going.
There is also a post in Starcity's forums for a tourny sometime in April (i wanna say the 25th?) down in the Chester area. Around Widener University, I think. The top prize is a Time walk...Should be cool. If somebody can get me a ride...lol.
Does anybody know more about this tourny/store?

That's pretty close to Philadelphia, and a Time Walk as a prize is sweet. It's certainly closer than West Chester is for you guys in Philly.
I won't know if I can go until like the 21st of April thanks to my job so don't wait on me, lol.
