You left off Darksteel Colossus, Psychatog, Ancient Hydra, etc.

I've been loving the Morphling/Spike Weaver/Colossus setup.  I've also found a boarded Avatar of Woe can be fun against decks like Tog if you can protect it long enough.

I personally enjoy the collosus, weaver, baloth set-up for the counter oath deck.  You still need to have answers in terms of board position against an aggro deck...

Psychatog is the one to go with- you've got a pretty solid draw engine providing you aren't playing a too off-the-wall Oath list, and you're filling your graveyard. What's not to love?

Tog has the added bonus being easily hardcast, which the red and double-green creatures (not to mention Colossus) do not have.

Call me crazy, but how about platinum angel? Sometimes decks just can't deal with her.

Platinum Angel would totally be worth using if you had a better way of protecting her than a lackluster base of 8 counters. It's still probably worth trying out, but has the problem of castability addressed by Matt.

Dunno about the platinum angel.  If your opponent is playing control with Cunning Wish they'll go and get artifact hate.  Fish has a double Grim Lanvamancer or Psionic Blast for 4/4 creatures.

It has no built in evasion so you might not want to use it.

I was running Akroma Angel of Wrath, Phantom Nishoba, Spike Weaver
until I got 4 Darksteel Colossus. I dropped the Akroma and Phantom.

Serra Avatar isn't bad. Especially with "them" Dragon enchantments.

Feeder isn't bad since you can gain a bit of life before getting the big creature, but only with Gaea's Blessings.

Avatar is probably best. Colossus isn't bad either. You want to kill them fast.

I like to run 1 morphling, 1 darksteel colossus, 1 weaver, 1 baloth.  The ability to get all of them off the board (except the colossus) is essential so you can keep oathing every turn.  Colossus is there because he is ridiculously powerful against most anything, but to be fair, he is not entirely needed.  I mainly have him there as a tinker target as a backup plan.

I've always felt the creatures should be able to be sacked at instant speed and no exceptions should be made.  I changed my mind when the Colossus appeared, but I am not willing to include anything.  The colossus is just plain better than anything else you can put in this deck other than instant-sac creatures.

4 creatures!?!
how can you expect any consistency?
tog? kill yourself.  how can you protect tog w/ only 8 counters? looks like a big swords target.
for the current metagame, i think that ascendant/ trike/ woodripper might have a chance.

I think the timing is a little off for a Serra Avatar for it to grab the Dragon enchantments...   Tim and I discussed it for a while and the first creature that hits with a blessing the triggers would shuffle the enchantments.

Maybe I'll ask him to email the full explaination.  Or am I totally off with this?

Wayne:

I think you get to choose. Both the Gaea's Blessing and the Dragon Enchantments are triggered abilities. Since you control them both, and both hit the graveyard at the same time, you get to choose the order they go on the stack.

Let the Blessing go on the stack first, then the Dragon stuff. The Dragon stuff resolves, hitting the Avatar, then the Blessing. I think that's the way it goes.

Explain to me why having four creatures hinders consistency.  The only way to deal with any of them is swords (and even that is hard to do to morphling.  They all get shuffled back in from gaea's blessing otherwise.  One of the beauties of oath is that it does not need many creatures, it has room for so many other good cards.
