Right. This is by far the oddest post I've ever done of these boards, but it occured to me that it just might work. And if it doesn't, well, at least I'll have tried

So here's the thing. I'm a Technology & Society student at the Technical University of Eindhoven (majoring in energy technology). I've recently completed all my courses and I'm now looking for a graduation project. This should be a research project either at a univeristy, a government organisation or a company over a timespan of 5 to 6 months. The subject can basically be anything, as long as it has something to do with renewable energy sources or the wat technology relates to the environment.
Some examples include:
- setting up an Environmental Management System for a company.
- performing a feasability study for a company interested in switching to fuel cell technology (say, a car company)
- formulating policy for a government in order to reach a transition to a hydrogen economy.
- researching the adoption, diffusion and implementation of wind energy in a given area.
Shit like that. You get the idea. I've sent out several letters and e-mails to companies and organisations in Holland, and I've even recieved some positive reactions

Problem is: I really don't wanna stay here. I missed out on my international semester because of a stupid choice I made years ago, and I really want to graduate somewhere else. Preferably the USA.
Now here's the thing. My university only has official contacts with a very limited number of US universities (like 2 or something) and there are currently no vacancies. Now I know that many of you study at kickass universities all over the US, so what I'd like you to do is keep your eyes open for any vacancies for a graduate researcher in the area I described above.
Anyone happen to know of an interesting project at your local university that has anything to do with renewables and that might be interested in hiring a poor dutchie?
