Yeah, I don't have a hotel ready. If someone can cram like, 8 people into a room, it becomes wicked cheap  Also, a list of possible car pools might be a good idea. |

SliverKing, Thorme and I got our hotel like 3 months ago and its going to be nice and cozy w/ just 3 people and not too expensive either...and just 1/4 mi from the site.

BUNCH of us from Hadley are planning on going. We don't have driving arrangements worked out yet but we were planning on just figuring it out for ourselves. Hotel Rooms are an interesting concept though...

The car pool thing is a good idea, especially for those of us that will need rides to and from the location to hotels once we get there. I'll be staying at the Days Inn South, if any one is going to be near by let me know, maybe we can arrange to split cab fairs or a rental car.

That may have been the place we stayed at last year...beware the multiple roads with the same names! Its hella easy to get lost on the mean streets of Indy.
BTW, did anyone else notice the disproportionate number of pawnshops and bailbondsman offices in downtown Indy?

Me and Scott Limoges (winner of last waterbury) will be flying in. We have NO IDEA whats up for a room, so we can collaberate with more TMD folk when it draws closer and we secure some tickets.

I'm just glad I'm not staying at a 250 a night room for 3 days this time. That fucking sucked. Though the room did have a hot tub. That was cool. Only GenCon isn't usually attended by hot women. Sigh.

One of the benefits of a hot tob is that it's almost as good on your own as with a woman (as opposed to, say, watching a movie, which is definitely better on your own).
I really wish I could go. I still might. I just need to be sure about a graduation research spot before I commit to anything resembling a holiday. Does anyone know if it will be doable to get a last-minute hotel room there (say, a week in advance or something) without having to sell my power collection to aforementioned pawnshops or my body to the night?

Just talk to someone who already has a room. Most people are more than willing to squeeze someone in to make it cheaper for themselves and everyone else. I've personally slept in a normal sized room(two doubles, small bathroom, etc) with around 8-10 people. It's cramped, but it's cheap as hell. And if you get in early, you get the bed |

I don't think the tournament/event schedules have been posted yet..at least I couldn't find anything on the GenCon website. I want to say check after May 15h, I remember reading that date somewhere. Last year there were tournaments on Thursday, 2 of Friday, 2 on Saturday (the two biggest ones, the Championship and the $250), and another on Sunday. From what I understand the Thursday and Sunday tournaments are not heavily attended.
