Hi people,

We at www.Magic-League.com will hold a T1 Swiss Tournament with $40 store credit for the winner. The store credit can be spent at our sponsor's online store: www.ImpulseMagic.com

The tournament will be played with Magic Workstation ( www.MagicWorkstation.com ) We also have a MWS Guide on our site, in case you have trouble getting used to it.

The T1 Swiss tournament will be on Sunday, April 18, at Noon Eastern Time. (= 11 AM Central Time = 10 AM Mountain Time = 9 AM Pacific Time = 18:00 Central European Time).

It will be on the server: irc.Xnet.org and in the #workstation channel. You can go there with mIRC ( www.mIRC.com ) or our chatroom on the site. We have a guide on our site for mIRC.

You can still earn Byes for this tournament (like for a GP) in the following Trials:
Monday, April 12, at 7 PM Eastern Time, T1 Trial Tournament.
Wednesday, April 14, at 1 PM Eastern Time, T1.5 Trial Tournament.
Thursday, April 15, at 7 PM Eastern Time, Extended Trial Tournament.
Friday, April 16, at 1 PM Eastern Time, T1 Trial Tournament.

The winner of a Trial gets 2 Byes; the runner-up: 1 Bye. You can have a maximum of 2 Byes and 2 Byes would mean that you can start playing in round 3 with 6 points in the pocket. Of course people without Byes can also join.

We are expecting about 40 - 100 participants, so you can expect 5, 6 or 7 Swiss rounds, and then a cut to a top 8 single elimination play-off. We'll hopefully see you there!

Greetings,

Koen
www.Magic-League.com Director.

You only "have to" play that long if you're doing well, and in that case, you usually enjoy yourself Smile And if you play a fast deck, you can have a lot of breaks between rounds etc.

It's also a nice occasion to test out decks in a tournament environment of which you don't have all the cards IRL (yet). Further it's free, you can drop whenever you want and it's an opportunity to win some store credit.

And yes, it can be a long sit behind your computer, but you have no travelling costs and there obviously is no entry fee. You can chat with other T1 players, so it's still fun.
