Magic: The Gathering
10 Proxy Type 1 Tournament!
This tournament will be for:
1st 1 UL Black Lotus (played)
2nd 1 UL Mox Pearl (NM)
3d 1 Beta Time Vault (NM)
4th 1 UL Berserk (UL)
Prizes for 5-8 (worth at least $20!)
Random Door Prizes all day
Check in at 10AM, Play starts at 11AM PROMPT
50 people limit, so we are doing preregistration (at the store or via phone with CC)
Preregistration is available starting 4-17 11AM (when our T1 starts)
This event will sell out, people, so if you wanna play PREREGISTER
This tournament will be held at:
Fanfare Sports n Entertainment
7428 S Westnedge, Portage MI

Proxies must be written ON A LAND WITH A SHARPIE.  Must include card name, mana cost, and card text.  We will be doing decklists and deck checks.

Damn!  That weekend is my 5-year college reunion....

why limit to 50 people, space?  was that the store that had the last one for a LOA, Abyss, etc?

Space is the consideration, yes.  I couldnt convince the store to get a Lotus, a Mox, and rent a room.  If this one goes well we will be a larger area next time (or if the response is overwhelming, we may look at a larger venue for this event).

Are these prizes guaranteed?  Or are there currently enough people pre-registered to guarantee them?  I've been to tournaments where there would "definitely be enough people" only to have a small showing and substantial prize reductions + increased entry.  I hesitate to preregister and drive 4 and a half hours if I can't be assured what I'll (hopefully) win...

These prizes are guarenteed.  No matter what.  We have some people prereged (not half, but some) and even if only these peeps show up, these are our prizes.  If we say itll be there, consider that to be true.
