The Proxy Machine I announced a few monthes ago is online and fully functionnal.

Funny how you knew what I want. Just imagine on 1 June MTGPics will be the only site that will allow you to proxy any Type I cards, all other sited being minus the mighty Portal and Starter cards that will surely become Type I legal.

I've noticed the proxies generated from this site are smaller than normal cards.  Is there a way around this, or is this the reason why they're still allowed to operate?

Looks like this depends on the printers. On my own printer, I use a 106% enlargement and It works perfectly.
