Name
Artifact Land -- Equipment
T: Add 1 to your mana pool.
Tap equipped creature: Add one mana of any of the equipped creature's colors to your mana pool.
Equip 1
If I changed it to: Equipped creature has "T: Add 1 to your mana pool", it would be alot cleaner. I tried templating it after Chrome Mox, but then I realized that I couldn't make it "T: Add one mana of any of the equipped creature's colors to your mana pool", because it just isn't right... so I wound up here.
Anyways, I like the concept of the card, but I haven't been able to actually come up with a suitable name or flavour (although I don't think there's room for flavour text). I was thinking of something like a giant machine that the creature gets into, some sort of huge contraption that sucked the mana out of it. Maybe prevent the creature from attacking, to show that A) it's stuck in this giant machine, and B) that it's life-force is being sucked out of it?
There's alot of routes you could go with it. Originally I made it "Equipped creature has +0/+2", which is pretty boring. So, I figured, mana accelerants are always fun to balance. Of course, you could go the other way and up the equip cost to 4, 5 or 6 and make it have a serious impact on the game.
However, I like where it is now, save the convoluted wording. Would the simplified "T: Add 1 to your mana pool" be better? It lowers the power level and makes it more elegant... any and all ideas are always appreciated.

P.S. Making it an Artifact Land is necessary, because equipment must be artifact's as well. This is something I would definitely not want to see print now, but in time, once the current artifact infestation is over, I think it's a possibility.
P.P.S Turn 1 This, Kobold, Equip gives you 3 mana on turn 2, which isn't crezzy. Also, more importantly, it doesn't currently tap for mana if the equipped creature is an artifact.
