Proposed Banned List for 3CB

This is my own subjective proposed banned list to be used for future 3CB tournaments. There are probably one or two glaring omissions that I've left off; if so, let me know.

Does this seem reasonable to everyone? What cards are on there that shouldn't be, what's not there that should be etc? What would people say to this list being used in future?

Shouldn't Mask/Nought be banned? It's too easy otherwise.

If you can find it in the archives (assuming the casual forum was archived somewhere) then using that as a start point seems logical. Or have you done that?

Nope, I would have done but it has unfortunately gone, and it seems like too much to bother leviat or zherbus with. Good call on the masknaught, though - I'll ban dreadnaught, too.

Why not just ban the dreadnaught, so if someone can find another intresting option, more power to them?

Let's accumulate all the cards that needed banning from other tournaments, and just have a global banned list...

Instant speed removal is interesting in any format.

I would also like to go back to some of the formats where there were no artifacts, and upwelling was always in play - that was fun.

Unban Lotus. It doesn't broke the format. Really, it works on MTGNews...

Lotus probably ought to stay there. The other card I think should be on there is LED - that, Arrogant Wurm, and Nether Spirit is a dangerous deck.

Plus Lotus leads to several Lotus/Stupor/Phyrexian Walker mise-prize efforts. No deck can win with just one card.

Unban Lotus. It doesn't broke the format. Really, it works on MTGNews...

The problem that I have with lotus is that it requires several other cards to be banned as a result of it. For example, wrench mind and mind swords would both need to be there as a result, when at least one of them is fairly harmless. Land destruction is far more dangerous, too (e.g sinkhole). Speaking of which, evil presence and sea's claim probably ought to be on there.

To simplify the discard banning ban all cards that would force opponent discard more than one card in turn. That also works in the MTGNews. Has worked for long time now..
