*RRRRRRRRRRRRR*, R Instant Target creature gains haste and "This creature must attack this turn if able" or Target creature gets +4/+0. Entwine: R Flashback: R Madness: R
Yes, I need a better name, so??
Once more with feeling:
Pirate Frenzy, R Instant Target creature gains haste and "This creature must attack this turn if able" or Target creature gets +3/+0. Entwine: R Madness: RR Flashback: RRR Changes made

If the opponent can't block this is RR for 8 damage. Turn 1 cadet. Turn 2 this twice and your opponent is at 10. That seems overpowered to me.

like: Reckless Charge... and it's not that red really doesn't give their opponents a change anymore... and in T2 there probably aren't any red cards with a CC below 3 anyways

To charge and flash it back cost 2rr for 6 damage. 2rr for six is very distinct from rr for 8.

Making RRRRRRRRRRRRR + Flashback cost RRR makes it a conditional Ball Lightning (you need a dork) and the Entwined cost of RR for Haste and +4/0 is reasonable when compared to Charge too. Madness takes a hit because Madness decks have been known to use Red and it is a bit dangerous having Madness and Flashback (see Deep Anal).
Besides it is good to add some Rs.
(To be honest the base cost should also be 1R but I like Red 'combat' cards so I think we can get away with undercosting it. I hate it at 1R but that is what it should cost)

This card seems to go against the spirit of wise card design. One, having so many mechanics makes the card unnecessarily complicated. I will be honest, my first impression is, "I bet this guy thinks he's cool because his instant has three keyword mechanics." Two, having such synergistic mechanics present on the same card is asking for abuse. For example, with Wild Mongrel you could cast the Mongrel and then give it haste and +5/+1 for {R} (the way you have it). Dandan's suggestion seems a little extreme, but certainly increasing both the flashback cost and the madness cost to {R} would help to balance this card.

Did you know that Red is the color or art and music and passion? Combine that with Green, the color of nature, spiritualism, and community and you get a hippie commune of drum circles, dreamcatchers, and recreational drug use. Let's see that win a Pro Tour.

First I thought of this as a better reckless charge (without all the mechanics), but I thought it was funny to add more I don't really think it's overly broken.. On the other hand +3/+0 sounds more realistic...

I don't think I was being extreme. Giving a Wild Mongrel Haste and +5/+1 for RRR (Flashback and Entwine) or +9/+1 and Haste for RRRRRR(Madness with Entwine and Flashback without Entwine) don't seem unreasonable.
Remember you get a lot of choices with this card.
As it stands you get a Ball Lightning effect for RR that does 8 damage. Is that a good idea? The card is strong enough at R plus Entwine R and Flashback RR. Madness is just a bonus and shouldn't be nearly free. On a Wild Mongrel you get +9/+1 for RR with the original suggestion.

Dandan's suggestion is pretty good. Can we call this "Pirate Frenzy"? the pun is just to terrible to pass up.

I still think this may be a bit too strong. But if we actually called it pirate frenzy I'd ok this card in a second.

I actually mentioned that IMHO the card should cost 1R R RR RRR
but it is pretty hard to break a creature pumper and Reckless Charge hasn't upset anyone yet, so I can turn a blind eye to this at R.
If I remember rightly Pirates in MtG are mostly Blue, Dwarves or Minotaurs could probably do with this more. In fact Orcs haven't seen much good stuff in a long long time although the casual hardcore would see this as
GOAT BUTT
Be the butt of everyone's jokes, hear your opponents protest 'But, but, but...', see them fear that vicious Goat. Visions of angry pirates paled in comparison.

I thought the general consensus was that having all of the extra costs be just wasn't going to fly. Did I misunderstand what Dandan, Walkingdude, and Jacob Orlove were saying? I certainly think some of those costs need to be increased, at least by , as was previously suggested.

I really like what Dandan is suggesting. In addition, Pirate Frenzy is sooooo much better for this card, because the joke is awesome.

yeah, dandan's is fair but the original is not. Dandan’s suggestion named pirate frenzy is ideal.

Who plays reckless charge anyways??
For this to work you need a creature, a creature that accidentaly might get blocked...
There's nothing broken about big creatures...

yeah, dandan's is fair but the original is not. Dandan’s suggestion named pirate frenzy is ideal. Actually, that was my suggested name. Dandan's design is much better than the original, though. However, I'd rather see the flashback at RRR and the madness at RR. As it is, you can just get too much out of this card, especially with a 1-mana flashback.

I am either missing the joke or it is so unfunny that it was not registered under 'Humourous - Misc'.
I note, however, that everyone missed my 'turning a blind eye' reference which makes me as sick as a parrot.
