You know the drill.  Hadley is awesome.

First place will be a Mox Ruby.  Second/third will be based on attendance, but we're looking at one of the new balances right now.

The store is called Collector's Corner, out of the Hadley Mall on route nine (russell street to those of you Mapquest happy)

Entry will be $15 a head, and there will be ten proxies allowed.

Deck reg starts at eleven, and the tournament starts at 12.

Bring your friends, bring your friends' friends, bring your enemies, and your enemies' friends.

Any questions, PM me.  Now, who's going to this thang?

Why so soon?  Last time you did something like this, didn't you end up with 15 guys and stasis in the top 8?

Nah, the 17 guy thing was with two weeks notice, and in direct competition with a large event in DC.

I got a LOT of requests for this weekend, so I scrambled to make it happen.  Should turn out pretty well, considering the amount of support I got for it.

Depending on who else from CT comes, I might make the trip. My car is damaged at the moment, so I have to see who's driving.

Why do you even bother having these?  Ray's just going to show up and own everyone again.

In spite of this, I think I can make it.  If so, Chuck, you're welcome to hitch a ride.

Well...I could play a rogue deck like at Gamemaster(which by the way is really fun...I would love playing at Duhlamin)

So...any suggestions?...what rogue deck should I play at Hadley...I'll take in all write in votes here.

Counter Phoenix obv.

It follows your usual rogue scheme of being a deck that has a few good cards to allow potential for winning, but is still bogged down by bombs such as Hammer of Bogerdan.

Oh that's right...in addition to Stasis and Forbidden Crypt/Donate/Tormod's Crypt with an EBA sideboard, I have also played the infamous mono blue island.dec.  Also, I don't know if it counts, but I played Belcher two weeks after Mirrodin came out, before anyone had even dared try it in a tournament, using the best card in the deck CABAL RITUAL.

It gets even better than playing tog in 92.  I was playing Magic in 1988.

Results:

the Matrix takes first place with the Bus *pumps fist* taking out Jeff Greene (Elyas Machera) playing 40 40s.  I'll be sending the t8 lists to Wompaslave in the AM.

Oh, and 187 not only didn't finish in the money, but didn't even top eight, despite the help from The M.E.T.H.O.D.  Owned, Kerz.  Razz

Was Matrix actually playing "the bus"??

Last time I saw him playing (I didn't actually watch him play at all today) his deck was quite different then your average keeper, or germbus, or whatever the hell you want to call it

He ran 4 AK and 2 Misdirection, the rest was pretty standard...He ran 3 fewer mana sources also, and I can't remember the other differences.

On a side note, I split for third, also playing 'Bus.
