What type of a T1 following is there up in B.C, and how many people usually show up for T1 tournies?

I am always looking for an excuse to escape the Phoenix summer heat, and am considering flying up for the tournament.
However, not really keen on flying up to find tourney cancelled due to low turnout.

T1 is growing rapidly in BC...  Hooked on Karz has run a couple big T1.5 tournaments recently but this is the first big tournament for Type 1 for some time in BC.  There is alot of talk about it on the local MtG site http://www.roguegaming.com
