So I drove to Z's home state this morning for bar review classes and I saw the most hilarious bumper stickers ever...well, second funniest. It was (drum roll please):
WWCSD: What Would Common Sense Do?
Aside from the fact that it is anthropomorphizes common sense I LUV that bumpersticker. I want one so bad. I am tired of the psuedo religious, I gave my brain to Jesus, WWJD stuff. IT DRIVES ME NUTS. Even better the "fish eating" stickers. One with Darwin eating the Christian fish, then the Fish with legs, then the Fish with the word truth on it eating the fish with legs on it. Ugh. It reminds me of that classic Bugs Bunny set to the Barber of Sevilla with Elmer Fudd, except in a not funny, not using great music kind of way.
But my all time favorite bumper sticker I saw in Dayton Ohio at the Dayton Mall my sophomore year in college. It was so funny I went and bought a camera so I could take a picture of it. Alas the picture is gone. It was:
Jesus hates you and so do I.
Looking back at this post it is decidedly anti-religious. I guess that is just a positive side effect of vitriole.
Any good bumperstickers out there, TMDers?
PS: New Hampshire citizens, for the most part, are truly crazy people. Their constitution is an ACTUAL social contract. How weird is that? Rousseau and Rawls take heart. It works. And Part 1, Article 10 of the NH Constitution is the right to make revolution. Sounds a little bloody to me. "Sorry that I shot you judge. I was just exercising my Part 1, Art. 10 rights to make revolution." This from the state with the motto: "Your on your own buddy" and no income tax.

 What's the catch? I assume this just applies to State income tax and the Feds still take a huge chunk out.

there's a few good ones around here. Unfortunately, I tried to translate them into English, but they would stop making sense. That Clinton one is extremely funny btw

There is no state income tax, but for Supremacy Clause and 16th Amendment (my least favorite Amendment BTW) reasons there is a federal income tax in NH. Still, no state tax is HUGE. Wanna lose every election for the rest of your life? Run in NH proposing an income tax. I think child molesters would beat you pretty handily in a straight up election.

There's no sales tax either. All state-level revenue is derived from excise taxes AFAIK. The state legislators only get paid $100 so that they have to have real jobs instead of being worthless. Their legislative districts are frequently multi-member, which for the uninitiated means they operate much more like parliamentary/PR (Proportional Representation) European legislatures, making more room for smaller parties. They even have a low percentage of NEA/AFT members. (see further: http://freestateproject.org/archives/state_data/index.jsp) The Free State Project chose...wisely. The Governor even openly said we were welcome. NH 4L indeed.

Google says the Big Dig is a bigass tunnel under construction. Does it really suck that bad that it supersedes the other badness of Massachusets when declaring how much said state sucks?

"Redefeat bush" is a funny one as far as political stuff goes, but unfotuanly loses a few points due to the fact that a recount under gore's proposed standard would still have resulted in bush winning (Electoral college = the suck).
I’ve always liked “I’m part of the problem. as a bumper sticker.

The best bumper sticker I have ever seen was white lettering on a red sticker that said "If this bumper sticker is blue, you're going too fast".

I've seen a white bumper sticker in a parking lot once with no print, but a bunch of embossed dots on it. When I asked the guy what the hell it was supposed to be, he told me it was in braille. Apparently, it said, "if you can read this, you're too fucking close". I thought it was funny, in a complicated kind of way. Either way, it made me feel special to be in on a joke that maybe three people would ever 'get' during the lifespan of the car (or possibly the guy).

I'm a big fan of "My kid had sex with your honor student" and "My kid beat up your honor student."
I have one that says "Always remember, pillage first, *then* burn".
I have a soft spot for the "if you can read this, you're TOO FUCKING CLOSE" variety. People who tailgate should be drowned in burlap sacks in the East River.

I just got one of those "I'll forward this to everyone who's ever emailed me about anything" emails--it was a list of bumperstickers, most not very funny.
There were a few good ones, though. Here's one:

I have really good eyesight and can read most bumper stickers from a looooooooooong way away. I am NOT too close.
Regarding tailgating (and the tradition Slovak method of overtaking which involves going way too close to the car in front, doing something violent with the steering wheel, then accelerating - a method that ensured plenty of amusingly 'parked' cars in the snowy winter months) surely they should say
If you can't see this, you are too close.
The local Slovak joke is this
Visit the Ukraine, see your car
(leaving your car anywhere near the Ukrainian border is unwise, hell, going near it is unwise)

I don't know if anyone else has seen these but they were pretty popular in Maine.. Bumper stickers that say "LICK BUSH" and then "in 2004" in much smaller letters. Funny stuff funny.
