If you don't mind driving an hour and a half to Eau Claire, WI it could be the weekend for Minnesotans to strive for 3 Power tournaments in 3 days.

Shinders Results:

A great turnout!!!!  52 people showed.  I'm not sure if decklists are going to be available.  We didn't register and I didn't have the time to get lists of the Top8 because I was too busy participating still!! (sorry Doc)

Gayness, 4cc, and rogue were the most in style today, I never once saw a Psychatog during the whole day!!  Workshop Modular, MUD, and FCG made some appearances.

I played 4cC.  I used the pretty standard mana base + spells.  Noteworthy is 3 Angels, 1 Decree, 1 Shaman, 3 Scrying.

My SB:
3 REB
2 Rack and Ruin
1 Gush (I expected more Titans)
1 BEB
1 Stifle (mvp)
2 Control Magic
1 Disenchant
1 Swords to Plowshares
1 Vampiric Tutor
2 Crucible of the Worlds

Overall, I was happy with the build.  The only thing I really could have wished for was another Stifle for the Dragon and Gays.

Quick rundown of my day:

Round 1.  Drew with Mono-U
-game one:  We each play mana forever, eventually I drain an arcane lab into an Angel and do the winning thing.
-game two:  I build up, keeping his other junk off the table.  He runs alot of bounce,  nobody draws any counters for the rest of the match.  He draws a Morphling vs my 2 Angels I keep recasting from annoying Capsize.  People start crowding around us,  he must have panicked because he scooped with superior board position.  WTF of the day.  go me.
1-0

Round 2.  Matt with Stasis (instill energy variant)  Surprised
-game one:  I nuke his lands and fire his birds/quiron ranger and swing with Hot Momma.
-game two:  He plays Serra Angel, I play Exalted Angel
2-0

Round 3. AndySponheim BUG WDragon.
-game one:  I Wish for a stifle which ends Dragon hopes.  I flip an Exalted for winning.
-game two:  I'm not sure, but he manages to animate a Sliver Queen early and make slivers.  I cannot stop the gay swarm.
-game three: A swords removes all of his permanents and 2 angels tagteam for ass whompin. possibly overkill.
3-0

Round 4  I@n Degraff with Control Slaver.
-game one: 2 welders beat on me for 10 life, shit goes down over a Fire.  I drain a memory jar despite the welders for a next turn FoF + Angel.  I cast yawgmoths will after being relative short on mana.  I miss seeing what he dumped from the jar, but I don't think I could have done anything with the Mindslaver that he put in there.  Anyway to I@n:  "You had me at Memory Jar"   Wink
-game two:  this one is long and he slaves me a bunch, long story short, it ends up a draw because of time.
3-1

Round 5 Sam Larsen with Gay/R
-game one:  I get my ass handed to me by wastelands and all the man lands he keeps drawing
-game two:  I eventually stabilize with a Crucible then Angel comes down
-game two:  I eventually stabilize with a Crucible then let him take my Angel with a Gilded Drake.  I swords the Angel and go on to win.
4-1

Round 6 Dangnabbit,IforgotHisName:(  Gay/R
-game one:  I don't see enough mana, he out tempoes me and whittles me down to 0
-game two:  I keep a questionable hand with only City of Brass for Mana.  I'm holding 2 active forces, a Stifle, and a Swords tho.  He misplays not saccing his Hatchling to counter the stifle targeting his Wasteland ability.  He is not able to catch up once the huge counter war over Crucible falls in my favor.
-game three: I eventually get Crucible and then Angel again.
5-1

t8
Matt Jendro  BU Dragon
-game one:  I play LoA and Lotus. He goes off really early but I'm holding 2 Swords to plowshares.  How laucky!  It's a slow build up to his death with soldiers.
-game two:  he gets an early animated Plated Slagwurm.  I'm able to go nuts with recall, walk, will, walk, recall, DT, some others, angel.  He tries going off with a Dragon, a StoP ends his day.

t4 Jeremy Zwirn.  The Man Show.
-game one: he gets early wastes, shops, tangle wires and trinispheres all in the right order.  Juggernaught beats me down.
-game two: i play a shaman, he gets a turn one Jugg.  I have no counters, wrong mana.  I kill his crypt and sapphire, he drops Workshop, Su-Chi.  Beats ensue, I die.

You guys in Minnesota definitely gotta start turning in decklists at the start of the day so I don't have to fret. It adds no administrative weight to the process of "give me your money and your name", and it can even be used to circumvent cheating. Suggest it to your TOs!
