Hi there,

I am missing som Stax decks lists to compare my own deck with. I have seen Kenny öenberg's  (sorry if i misspelled you) deck list, but he only ran one Crucible main, and new what he might face in the top eight.

Well take a look, and give my some comments pls.

Staxx//:
3 Sphere of Resistance
4 Trinisphere
4 Tangle Wire
4 Smokestack
3 Crucible of Worlds
Creatures:
4 Goblin Welder
1 Sundering Titan
1 Karn, Silver Golem
Draw:
4 Thirst of Knowledge
1 Ancestral Recall
1 Tinker
1 Wheel of Fortune
1 Memory Jar
Mana:
7 SoloCryptMoxen
1 Black Lotus
1 Mana Vault
4 Volcanic Island
1 Floodedstrand
4 Shivan Reef
4 Mishra's Workshop
4 Wasteland
1 Strip Mine
1 Tolarian Academy

I belive that Crucible of Worlds relly is a strong card in the deck, either to protect your workshops, or to screw your opponent with wastelands. But 3 might be one to many...

Hope to see some replies:)

I guess i'll use my first post to respond, since i'm running something similar.  Wink

Go to 2 crucibles, 1 in sideboard. If you expect a glut of non-basic non-dual lands side one back in so the wastelands have a better chance to wreck your opponent.

In its place drop a triskelion in the deck. He's so good against weenies that I don't understand how any welder/workshop deck can't have at least one. Keep another in sideboard as well. If he's not killing off fish critters, he'll be blasting other welders or goblins from FCG.

I generally play more draw in my Stax builds.  I also only run Trinispheres.  7 spheres is almost certainly too many.  I suggest that you make the following changes:

-1 Crucible
-3 sphere of Resistence
-1 thirst for knowledge
+1 Triskelion
+1 Mindslaver
+1 Windfall
+2 Meditate

Meditate can be really good sometimes and really bad sometimes but it digs you an extra card deeper and sometimes you need that.  Also eot meditate is mean.

Slaver Has synergy with smokestack and is fantastic against Tog.

I could see it argued that 2 sphere of resistance to back up 4 trinisphere is good, but I can't argue the sheer goodness that is an EOT meditate when you've got counters on the stacks and tanglewires  Twisted Evil

4 extra cards for 3 mana is worth a wasted turn most games. At least it doesn't need to be explained why timewalk is bad in stax.  Rolling Eyes

Recently i've been siding chalice in to replace spheres/trinisphere, and have seriously considered maindecking them, but perhaps that's just because of my meta.
