While my teammates were doing so well at the SCG event, I added one more title to the Shortbus inventory,  Level 2 judge.
Thanks to Sheldon Menary and Matt V for getting me started on judging and encouraging me to take the test, and to StarCity for running so many events in Richmond.

Mad slops to the pairing system that put me up against teammate Rick James in round 1.  Those that know me will attest that this stopped being funny about 3 major events ago.

Well, the computer hasn't pitted us against each other in a tournament yet (other than final around of the 01 VA States Tournament) so it could be much much worse....congrats on Level 2!  Short Bus invitationals will no doubt be all the rage in the upcoming year or two

The most powerful team in competitive vintage just got stronger.

There's no question about it, between a pairing system where we always play eachother and bad tie breakers, ShortBus definately got screwed at SCG.  But even through all of that we were able to dominate the event.  Can anything realistically stop us?

Don't even get me started on how many Wastelands came from which continent in my stats.

OTOH, the Europeans have been getting mighty uppity lately.

June
New Jersey: 10 Wasteland, 3 Strip Mine
Minneapolis: 16 Wasteland, 4 Strip Mine (half assumed from two missing 4CC lists)
Kalamazoo: 13 Wasteland, 4 Strip Mine

Dulmen: 12 Wasteland, 4 Strip Mine
Castricum: 12 Wasteland, 5 Strip Mine
Turin: 13 Wasteland, 4 Strip Mine
Bologna: 10 Wasteland, 3 Strip Mine

Hilariously, the Italian counts are lower than they might have otherwise been because lo and behold, after the North Americans advised them that non-Strip Hulk was better... they cut the Strips.

N.A. average: 13.0 Wasteland, 3.7 Strip Mine
Europe average: 12.0 Wasteland, 4.0 Strip Mine

Considering the relatively small sample size, I call that "not significantly different".

Meandeck was the first team to get a level 2 judge in its ranks.
Props to myself.

Note to self: ask Jaap and Gis to become token ISP members. That way, we'd probably be the only team in the world that has TWO level FOUR judges Razz
