It's pretty.

Also, if anyone could do me the favor of making me an avatar out of it and/or printing out a card picture sized... picture of it to use as a proxy, i'd mad appreciate it.

I dunno, it's kinda pretty. The mocked up card ain't even half bad. Except they should have updated the wording, too. Oh well. Anyway, here they are.

Zherbus: Grab 'em quick, coz I can't host them on there for much longer :-)

I think Bram just grabbed that off Rush's site. Here's an attempt at it, though. Someone could probably get the art to fit better, I imagine:

I can host them for the next 3 years if need be, so grab them whenever.

EDIT: I think Jacob started with a much clearer picture of a beta lotus than I (I pulled mine of google image search). Jacob, you mind if I steal the border and work on it in photoshop?

Oh, and Zherbus, would you like one that prints out exactly the size of a card?

That's a sweet looking Lotus.

Go for it. I stole mine from Wizards autocard.

Stole Jacob's border and did some color correction on the text to make it slightly more legible.

Also, here is the ~card size one. I will make it accurate when i get home from work, but from memory, the width of an mtg card w/ it's border is 2.45 inches.

I'll try to do a high-res version when I get home. I'm not sure if I can, however, since I'm flying in under a day (and I'm still at my internship now). Worst case scenario: I'll whip it up next Sunday when I'm back from my holidays.

I took Pyro's 300dpi scan of his signed beta lotus and photoshopped the new pic in it.

Here's the 72dpi web version:

The 300dpi version can be found by clicking the pic Smile

Exactly what I had in mind. Except yours is cooler since it's beta AND it's pre-pimped Smile

This will definitely make the bestest-looking proxy lotus ever.

Thanks for posting the Lotus Carl! That's sweet. As far as I know this is the only place to see it.
Along the lines of new art for Power cards, I see they are doing a new Time Twister peice for 1st this year. I wonder if they are planing on "World Champion" decks w/ alt. art power...

I talked to some people from Wizards about that at PT Boston and the general concensus was that the issue of what to do with the power/older cards was just too complicated to deal with for now.  So no. ;P

There's another place to see it - on the wall in my bedroom :>

LOL @ Carl : ) How big was the painting? Same size as the original? I know they were small, 9.5 x 11 or so.

Did you get your ride squared away for gen-con? (aka are you going to make it for sure?)

As long as it's 8E, why not have it be a signed foil asian miscut lotus?

That's blatantly stolen from misetings, so don't give me any credit for it.

Here's one of their regular 8E lotuses:

Also, a foil factory someone did in the same thread:

I like that the Factory says "Until end of turn" twice.

I just like the factory. Although it's not as nice as AQ Winter... it's nice! Smile

Will the reprint Mishra's Factory?  Razz
