Can anyone tell me if Ankh Sligh or Suicide Black is viable in the current T1 metagame? I'm trying to get into t1 and those are the two decks that really appeal to me, and I was wondering if I would be stuck losing most of my games by picking either of these decks.

No, because they really lack the tools to deal with faster decks. They were once among the fastest of the type 1 decks when control was all there was to beat, but with todays deck you'd just be left in the dust trying to deal with a 7/10 ground pounder on turn 1.
