i've been testing this for some time now.

creatures (20)
4 - grim lavamancer
4 - skyshroud elite
4 - kird ape
3 - gorilla shaman
3 - call of the herd
2 - river boa

util (10)
3 - rancor
3 - artifact mutation
4 - rootmaze

burn (6)
4 - lightning bolt
2 - incinerate

land (24)
2 - mountain
3 - forest
4 - treetop village
2 - moxen
4 - wooded foothills
4 - taiga
5 - strips

SB
2 - tormod's crypt
3 - bloodmoon
3 - null rod
3 - naturalize
4 - red blast

the creature base seems pretty solid right now.  i tried troll ascetic and found it was harder than i thought to get the 2xG sources without wanting to activate a treetop.  the regeneration and islandwalk isn't that big of a factor with riverboa anymore but i haven't found anything to better suit the slot, wild dogs?

rootmaze is key against dragon, slaver, and long.  it seems to slow 4CC down enough to make a large impact as well.  the 3x artifact mutations maindeck are probably the best part about playing this deck.  chalice and powder keg are both pretty crusher against aggro for obvious reason and this seems like the only obvious answer.  you may even get to mutate a colossus once in awhile (11 bugs evens the game up a little)  rancor goes without saying.  6x burn spells seems to be the right number right now also, the incinerates may even need to be fire/ice.
i really think this deck is underrated

any other thoughts?

Land, Mox, Chalice for 1, Go.

Chalice for 1 shuts off 26/36 spells in the deck, that is terrible.

This deck is not underrated. It is BAD. Not your build, nor "any" build, but the archetype RG beats is bad. Why is it bad?
- Because you don´t draw cards.
- Because you can´t smooth your mana curve.
- Because you have few disruption.

An aggro deck that cannot kill before turn 4 or something and that is not able to adequately disrupt your opponent plans just loses in T1. To win you need a good draw, because after that there is just topdecking. How can a deck be good that can´t even draw cards or manipulate in some effective way to draw cards?

Sure, you CAN win if you go like creature, Rancor and then 4xstrip. But if a deck´s most broken play is a mox, then you´d better play another deck with your moxen.

Clearly, in a budget environement, the deck gets better. But I would play Goblins over RG any time of the day.
