This is the suggested tournament announcement template. The reasoning for this is to make sure that all announcments follow an easy to read guideline and to bring some order to the usual chaos. Anything with
this color is not part of the template, but instead is a description.
Only Full Members and Tournament Organizers are allowed to post in this forum. The purpose of this forum is to announce large, specialty, and/or reoccuring tournaments. If you are interested in becoming a Tournament Organizer please send a PM to

Calendar!
Make sure you properly set the calendar date and time, otherwise your event will not show up.So I've been getting a lot of PMs from people looking to put their events on the calendar. Because I'm too lazy to do it myself, I've decided to write this helpful primer so people like the one here don't have to complain a bunch that their thread isn't on the calendar.
Step One:
Start a new thread.
This is simple. Just click the button conveniently labled "new thread". From here you are given the option if putting the subject of your thread on one line, and the text in the big giant box thing. There are some other options too, but they are very annoying so we'll skip those.
Step Two:
Read the window in front of your face.
Yeah, look down a little. See that big section that reads "Calendar event"? That's where we'll be working. Found it? Okay, on to step three.
Step Three:
Setting the Date
Click the little arrow next to the two dashes. A little box comes up with numbers up to 31. Click on the day that your tournament is being held on.
Then click the next little arrow. This shows you some months. Pick the month that your tournament is being held on.
The third little arrow is the year. If you can't figure this out by yourself, then this primer is for you! This year is 2004.
Step Four:
Posting your thread.
Click post. Click it only once. Your post will magically appear in the tournament forum if you have posting rights.
If your rights are denied, do not PM me asking for help. The tournament forum has restricted access, and complaining to the mods will not get you in. See the stickied rules of TMD in the open forum for an explanation.
I hope this helps!
Here's the code to help you get started, just cut and paste the following--
