I dunno why I thought of this exacly, but I figured I'd jump on the poison-bandwagon. I suppose Elves of Deep Shadow was inspiring.

Edit: this also fits nicely into the aztec flavor of the B/G Diety being about life and death and poison counters :p
If anyone comes up with a flavor text and a better name, it should probably be in that particular flavor.

Too good. The Poison drawback is too slight. Opponents will likely not address your poison total most of the time, so you'd be free to use this for nine times without any negative consequences at all most of the time (and some of the time, with positive consequences....just look at some of the cards we already made). It simply accellerates too fast.

Compare this to Elves of Deep Shadow, or Llanowar Dead even. This need to make B at best. If it makes B, I like it. Lemme think of some flavor.

Anyway, it can't be an elf, since we don't have those. Logically, it would be a shaman.

Also: a shaman, in my mind at least, is more like an Elf than a snake is.

Why can't this be an elf though? Just because it isn't 100% connected with the Aztec flavor? I think we should still consider a little bit of magic flavor in some cases, and this is very much one of them! Elves are the mana-producing species in magic (in general, anyway), so I'd say we should keep it that way.
I could ofcourse make him an Elf Shaman or Elf Snake if that serves a purpose in the bigger picture, but I doubt it.

I'll adapt your flavor and name Bram, they are nice.

Well, there's no reason this can't be an elf. It makes sense for it to be an elf, ofcourse. I was just stating that in my vision of this world, there would likely be no elves. Our creators don't have to conform to that at all, obviously.

Well... I'm just saying, even though I agree we should use the flavor in a lot of ways, making this non-elf just is so counter-intuitive to me, that I don't think it's a good idea.

Look at Champions. Plenty of green non-elves that produce mana there.

It's not really a problem. I actually meant it to be the Wirewood Elf of this set with a Dark Elf theme.
I guess I'll change him into a Shaman then, but not snake. That does not make much sense to me.

I think I'd rather make him 2/2 or 1/3 than drop his cc and p/t.
