The Sox will win the ALCS in 4, and the World Series in 7. It just has to be this way. Once you accept that the Sox will win (and they will), then it has to be a spectacular defeat of the Yankees and a very close, good World Series. So it shall be written, etc.

If the first inning of game 1 is any indication the series is not going to pretty for Sox fans.

Just to clarify here: is this "who do you WANT to win" or "who WILL win"?

Who wins. If you look at the series objectively and with an unbiased eye, who do you think will win the series based upon the strength of the two teams and the intangible factors that are inherent to this rivalry (ex 1918, Yanks possible deficiencies with starting pitching, Pedro's "Coming to America" jheri curl, etc)

Is it a bad sign that the only thing that allowed me to puzzle out this thread was the word "Yankees"?
Yankees, because they are playing blue, will obviously defeat anything. Aren't you people Type One players?

Since Aaron Boone doesn't play for the Yanks anymore, and they pretty much just bought people at every position now, no reason to cheer for them.
I think the Yanks will win, but I am cheering for the Sox.

Regular season baseball can be a chore to sit through and often helps me squeeze in naps, but playoff baseball can be transcendental in its level of drama and intrigue.

Formula 1 is pretty boring right now.
Aren't the Yankees 2-0 up? That gives them a distinct advantage so I'll tip them.
I can't say I rate Baseball as a sport but I am impressed by the level of fielding in most games (even if they wear gloves to help them). Seems a bit strange to allow people to walk if they are stupid enough to get hit by the ball, a team of sumos could walk their way to victory as you would pretty much have to hit them. Incidently I think a sumo ice-hockey goalkeeper (tender?) would also ensure a clean sheet by covering all of the goal so I am surprised that Japan haven't tried this. I believe America also has a pretty good supply of large people.

Does that mean that You can play Type I: 69 will have pictures of Rakso playing ice-hockey? Time will tell.
Note. Having read the above, some people may conclude that I am trying to call Rakso a sumo. This was not my intention at all and I apologise for any offense caused to people who intentionally get so fat that they can't wipe their own bottoms.
I also quite like Rakso's series. Keep up the good work young man.

I hate the Yankees. They beat the Twins. Objectively, and since Derek Jeter doesn't actually have to tag the runner to get them out, I think the fucking Yankees will win. H8.

Well, I'm a Devil Rays / Lightning / Bucs / Hurricanes fan... so in general I hope the NL wins the world series. I can't route for a team in our division, much less ANY team from NY. Fuck NY, their 3rd baseman costs more than our whole team. I hope Boston beats NY and loses in 7 in the WS. It hurts more that way Baseball is horribly slow; they need to make the game faster. MLB could make it more of a pitcher's game and less of a hitters game by raising the mound a bit for example. This would get you out of a game a good 1/2 hour faster. Retraction is also a good idea. There isnt enough good pitching to go around.
