Hey, 1st time poster long time reader. I couldn't wait for someone to post this. Here's the link if you haven't seen it yet. http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=mtgcom/daily/as41 Is this card to powerful for t4? Not only is this thing a game winner on its own but has great synergy with bosh, karn and artifact mutation. I'm thinking this is way too overpowered even for a format like t4 unless there was a draft pile designed to accomodate it. Someone would have to be holding a counter at all times. If nothing else it becomes a pseudo dampning matrix. What do you guys think?

I actually consider it fairly weak, but interesting enough to be included.

I would consider moving in Erratic Explosion now (and if you can also pick up the Scroll Rack I have in my pile, you are the lucksack )

It's OK because it doesn't make people do anything, and because there are still a bunch of cards which have targetting restrictions making it possible to work around (plus global spells).

It looks pretty awesome, but you can easily win without ever casting a targetted spell. It basically just prevents your oppenents from playing their's, like Trinisphere is Type 1.
Of course, it has the super-win with Bosh, but Memnarch/Bosh usually wins, too, and it kills everyone.
A definite inclusion just the same.

This card is clearly insane. You can't be slaved, Raged, Confiscated and if there are other spells on the stack, counterspelled.

I'd use Kaboom! over Erratic Explosion, even though it can't hit creatures.

I'm pretty sure Shane already has Kaboom!

I've actually already had Erratic Explosion for a while now. My T4 stack features a lot more burn than most people, so I predict Gleemax to be fairly interesting.... though still relatively weak.

does this mean we can finally get rid of that godawful Grip of Chaos Shane???? I dont think Gleemax is too strong at all. Its a greatly improved Ivory Mask and has tons of political potential, but its not soothsaying or graverobber or any such nonsense.

I think that this will strengthen aggro decks, actually. Resolve it, it almost never will die, and nothing can masticore your creatures. Nobody can plow or spinal embrace, and Reins of Power is the suck. Meanwhile, your mens get to beat all the time.
I think that Gleemax will be pretty sweet. It's practically Indestructable too!

Got our first game in with Gleemax last night.
I drafted it fairly high because I wanted to test it out.
Big mistake. I lost every game I cast it. All it did was annoy the hell out of both opponents and make me a giant target. Instead of having a 'dont mess with me' effect, it said "Kill me so you can cast your cool spells". It was alternately Uktabi Kong'd, World-bottling-kit'd, and Run over w/ ginormous creatures.
